The Journey to Three Stars!

Soooo I have officially restarted and began work on my Purple Elegantcore island!

Over the past two and a bit days, I've been working on getting through all of the tutorial parts of the game and getting to three stars. Below will be the journey to getting there!

Starting Villagers:

The first obstacle to tackle was the island layout, and starting villagers. I wanted an island with two front facing river mouths, a resident services a decent while back AND a blue airport. Getting these three wasn't too hard, with over half of the islands I resetted actually being these. The problem was the fourth requirement: a purple villager. You see, there aren't many purple villagers I could get. Rod was the only Jock and out of the sisterly, there were a few, being six, but that still took a while. However, on my second purple starter (Renee) all requirements were met! And in under two hours too!

Island Name & Three Villager Plots & Campsite:

Choosing the island name was actually easy, given I'd already considered a few. I was torn between Wisteria and Foxglove, but chose Wisteria as I thought it fits better. Plus I already have an island called Foxgrove.

Now onto the three villager plots, I messed up here. While there isn't a villager for Peppy, there are quite a few for Normal, yet I forgot that once you fully fill in the plots, they autofill. I was lucky enough to not do plot number 3 and did go on a 100 ticket hunt looking for Bob, but he didn't turn up. I got bored and decided to autofill. I'll get him another time.

For the campsite, I didn't get lucky there. Got Lopez...AGAIN. He was my campsite villager on Sunbreak. Very annoying. Can't wait till I can kick him out.

Hitting Three Stars!

After setting up the campsite, I continued with the story and looked up my star rating. It was one stars. Pretty sad but Isabelle said I needed more villagers, so I went to hunt. I did two hunts, within 50 tickets.

My first was Sydney, a villager I actually love! I got her in my first three tickets!

My second was Gwen. While hunting for Gwen I did come across both Diana and Gloria, but they are classed as white villagers more than purple, so I skipped them.

After both of these moved in, I checked again and I was there stars! Now I had been gathering bushes, hybrids and items from treasure islands over the last couple of days and dotting them over my island so they definetly helped. On that day I also had a campsite villager and thought I'd check it out. The chances of them being purple was low...

I got Static. Legit laughed when I saw him. Best luck for my second campsite villager. Spent an ungodly long amount of time trying to get him to stay.

And that was that! Since then I've spent most of today working on my island entrance, so when it's finished I'll post some pics of the build. Currently, though, I'm very happy with the progress!
