≪ Personality ≫

Kei is a rather cheerful person who is ready to brighten up someone day even if it's means acting silly just to see a smile on someone face. At times, she can act silly, especially when it's comes to getting her coffee at times getting interested in the drama or giving little advice that can help as most patrons enjoy her company giving them a breath of fresh air just from being in her presence. Due to being Blind due to an accident from a young age, it doesn't bother her as much growing used to people doubting her or acting as if she can't see but she doesn't let it get to her since all that matters is working hard and enjoying life even if it's short.

As an investigator, her demeanor changes rather slightly, keeping her silly attitude there while also taking on a more serious position in the face of her adversaries which usually ends up in them underestimating just from seeing a blindfold around her eyes to only end up dead within seconds. Cunning and Smart is how she is when it comes to challenges that are hard to solve or easy, especially deducing such as the situation or crime that just happened and figuring out where they are now or heading to next. Due to her Blindness Kei has trained her senses to the max that she can read her surroundings, pinpoint someone location just from the scent, and everything took place whilst feeling the change in one's self or the outside through simple movement. She's held in high regard due to being personally trained by Arima himself, a being out on the field with him, but she doesn't pay much mind, only doing her own thing.

Her morals take that of sympathizing on both sides wether they're ghoul or human since this has caused her to be judge by others in her work place caring not for they say but focusing on the bigger picture right infront of them. As said, how she usually judges someone is based on their actions, deeming it more appropriate than just biology or saying how change would happen if they simply put aside their differences and work things out. But that said, she still does her job as investigator, only crossing the line if it's child or baby but in some cases she usually talks with them as a fight happens , getting to know them while also helping them figure out if this is really what they want or was it intended. Despite being disabled and labeled as a liability, she continues to prove others wrong that because she's blind doesn't mean she can't do things other can't with sight for can she just be like them but just better.

Having lost her father in a ghoul attack stung Kei since he was a hero in her eyes, protecting the innocent, even if things would get tough, he would always be the hero she needs for both her mother and herself with that in mind kei respect few people her father being the one whom she strives to be even if he's gone she knows that he's there watching over her. Kei is very friendly with Akira since they're childhood friend with her father knowing both her parents that people usually mistake them as a couple with Kei acting lovey dovey even as she child she told Mr Kureo that he would protect/ marry her since in her eyes she's the one who can handle her let alone be near around her without judging her condition. Visiting Antekiu is a time as she enjoys the food and drinks while playing the innocent customer of cracking jokes or being silly even if they're unaware that she knows they're ghouls herself as she's rather keen on keeping it a secret then telling the CCG.

Carrying a white cane with glasses and her German Shepard service dog is quite humorous in her eyes knowing that even ghoul walk amongst them so why not play an innocent disabled person to fool them since they can't identify in her CCG attire as she conceals her face and hair to make sure she isn't identified so they wouldn't trace her back especially to her mother to which she is very carefully about. Despite facing challenges that have been thrown at her, she's rather okay how things are since all that matters is to live life and focus on the positive, not the negative.

Weapon Description ≫ Similar to Arima Ixa while different being is it having 3 forms one a lance, Sword and WarFan in one singular weapon . The Lance takes the form similar to Arima and Amon Quinque Sturdy and Strong while creating a barrier to block off incoming attacks, the color scheme being black and grey with it coming from a Koukaku. The Sword is a claymore with the kagune coming from a Bikaku and Ukaku. Once it's unleashed, it'll start gathering kinetic energy for it to start firing off blasts even when performing technique this will make the blade much more dangerous than is. The color scheme is that of Blue and Purple. Last being a warfan with the elegance and sharpness coming from a Rinkaku its sharp edges are quiet clean and cut perfectly into its victims the design us that of two flowers blooming on each side with a cold black mixed in.

Fighting Style ≫ Kei fighting style is rather unique in a way keeping it playful while being serious , she attacks her opponent with proficiency aiming to finish the battle in a second. Due to her Blindness she's quick and adaptive given the situation as she's able to one up her opponent once she's got them figured out. Upon being upset or hurt, her attacks are deadly to the point of no mercy, going for vital points, combining attacks, moves to finish them that ite only a matter of time before they're dead.

Being the daughter to an investigator who worked for the CCG and mother who worked as a florist is something you wouldn't expect from two who were polar opposites. Her father, Tatsuya Kanai, had met her mother Naomi Sawa in the 13th ward near the floral shop her mother was working at while he was on a mission. Naomi bumped into him once he stepped foot in the floral shop only for the two gazes to meet one another in a long trance that would connect the two forever. Although working a dangerous job, Tatsuya promised to come back safely to her, for she was his flower that he cherished to which she held that promise to heart. After dating for 2 years, it lead to marriage, and then having little Kei became a part of their family.

After the birth of Kei, it was decided to move to the 20th ward, a much safer place to raise their daughter. Growing up was pretty nice for Kei with her father being friends, Kureo Mado, Kasuke Mado, his wife, and their little girl Akira to say the least the two young children were bestfriends with Kei sticking close to Akira at all times even when in the CCG she would stick close to her not leaving her side. Despite knowing the dangers that came with being an investigator, Kei always looked up to her father for protecting the innocent and keeping others safe despite the danger it came it. Kei herself, albeit young, an innocent her mind would later start to think while judge on situation with ghouls or humans due to her curiosity an wanting to know more of world, her questions would soon reach her father where he would then start to give her honest words and wisdom as it would all come down to her judgement in the end.

Unfortunately, tragedy would stike the family in more ways than one with Tatsuya being killed in the line of battle against an S- Rated ghoul. Upon hearing the news left, a devastated Naomi Sawa and Kei to pick up the pieces of their now little family with Kei being the most affected losing her father caused her to not respond much but become quiet and unresponsive when spoken to. Despite losing her husband, Kei Mother stepped up in take care their daughter working long shifts and at times working as a receptionist for the CCG that although it was hard, it would soon get better for them eventually. Sadly, that wouldn't be the case for them while driving home from the CCG after getting funeral preparation in order 4 B-Rated ghoul attacked the little family in the car while driving, creating a crash broad daylight.

Kei was in the back seat during the crash with her mother driving. Luckily, she was able to avoid causing a collusion with other cars, but with the ghouls' appearance, it made things more chaotic. Kei, while injured, felt something change that she didn't realize only to be pulled out the flipped over car with her mother slowly regaining consciousness to notice see her daughter being dragged out by the ghouls as she could only struggle stuck in the car. Apparently, these 4 ghouls had a vendetta against her father for killing their boss who was slaughtering humans back in the 13th ward at the time but met his end at Tatsuya hands with the 4 ghouls wanting payback decided to attack the small family as payback even if he was dead. Upon hearing this Kei in the moment felt no fear but instead was calm as she started to talk with the ghouls questioning them on their decision they're making, how they'll be hunted now, and why should she feel sorry for them if they ghoul was killing people who did nothing wrong to them only live.

Despite being injured and surrounded by B-Rated ghouls Kei without even realizing it had bought enough time for the CCG to arrive to take them down thanks to her talking distracting them for a bit that she was rescued and brought to hospital with her mother. While at the hospital, it was found it that during the collusion, Kei had suffered eye injury, which resulted in losing her sight, and there would be no way of getting it back. Devastated at the news of the daughter injury, Kei was surprisingly calm throughout the whole thing, although noticing some changes with her scenes that seemed heightened in a way or clearer than it was before the incident After being in the hospital for a month the daughter and mother had visited the CCG headquarters to collect a few things with Kei wandering off without nobody realizing it she was able to somehow find her way to a training room.

Upon being in the training room unbeknownst the young girl Arima had stumbled upon the girl simply staring at the punching bag while her fingers traced over it gently curiosity spared the investigator to go down to the girl to see her in person after hearing about the tragedy that fell upon her family. The two interaction would later change for the better with Arima questioning the girl an Kei keeping up never once wavering that without hesitation he threw a fist to her face stopping mid-way barely an inch when questioned by this to him her answer was "I'm not afraid and I had a feeling you wouldn't actually hit me" with her response sounding genuine and with a matter of fact Armia decided that from today onaward she would be his student taking an interest in the young girl an seeing the untapped potential she had within. The news had reached mother and other investigator ears to say they were shocked would an understatement as this was something nobody expect let alone even hoped to hear from arima himself. When questioned by her mother on this important decision and is she's ready for this Kei without hesitation responded " Dad was a hero who protected the innocent and sure there is alot that comes with this but I wanna be a hero that day was everyone including you mom so I'll glady accept this" her answering resonating within not jusy herself but with others marked the beginning of her journey.

Throughout the rest of her childhood from ages 7 started her training with Armia focusing on alot of key things such as her sight being made aware that if they honed her other senses to the max she can become a formidable opponent to beat that it was start to the next step. Training, Studying, Learning and experience was a starting point for Kei in her journey with that in mind she promised her mother to go to highschool and have fun with her life which she took to heart spending time with Akira even hanging out gave her another reason to protect her Loved with since to her Akira was someone she loved and vowed to protect. Keeping the promise she made to her mother Kei was able to graduate Highschool early into her second year at age 15 with rigorous studying an making sure to get flying colors in each subject along with training Arima it may have seemed like alot but thanks to good scheduling and making time she was able to balance between the two in order to have a good life. After finishing she immediately started at the CCG being promoted due to Rank 3 class investigator due to Arima and wanting to take advantage of the youth she was locked and ready to start along with Chairman Tsuneyoshi Washuu wanting her to start now.

Making it to the CCG started a turning point in Kei career with skipping the Training Academy and going straight into the field with Arima. Despite the two being different ranks it didn't stop him from taking her on cases or hunting down ghouls since the best way to learn was through experience and watching as there was plenty of that with watching her battle ghouls of different ranks only to stop at S- Rated, SS- Rated and SSS rated where he drew the line even at times let her single handedly take on 33 ghouls on her own after deciding she wss ready for the challenge. When going out with Arima, she usually has her whole face covered to prevent being traced back, which she found doable and enjoyable. Due to being Blind she wrapped her eyes in white bandage wrapping so others wouldn't question her/judge. When by herself on missions she developed the habit of chatting up ghouls which made her judgement of them much easier to access and decidefor who she wanted to do things on her own she's not a judge or Executioner by any means but that doesn't mean they deserve a chance.

It wasn't until after having a run in with an S Rank and SS rank ghoul that her demeanor changed once they started mocking human life and spilling they'll kill her parents which triggered a rage in her that was never seen. Years of training, going on missions and solving cases finally payed off as without hesitation she brutally beat them down with her quinque being a koukaku Katana leaving no room to breath let alone think in the moment that she finally killed them being one the youngest to take down an S and SS Rated at age 16 just like Arima. When she reported back of the attack that took place in the 13th ward with her being there she was hailed as hero since those two particular ghouls have been causing the CCG trouble for a while that it used to be her father old case, hearing this made Kei smile knowing her father was with her in spirit guiding her even now.

She would later be promoted to Associate Special Investigator at age 18 after completing over 50 cases within 2 months. At times, she would work together with Kureo Mado, a friend of her father not minding his unique personality that she found comfort in him that she asks sometimes how Akira is doing nowadays. Despite having achieved such a title Kei would spend her days with her mother Naomi helping out in the flower shop, taking care of grocery's or going on vacations with her just to end the time she has with her mother. Even though Kei and Akira didn't see each other as much, they still kept in touch with Kei, still loving her even if Akira didn't know or realize it. Now, at the age of 20, having achieved Special Class Investigator Kei is an exceptional young woman held as a prodigy for being able to achieve something much within her time at the CCG.

Kei's, happy go lucky personality has made others around get used to her usual silly antics, even taking it like a normal day. Kei started to visit Antekiu when she was 19, so to say the least, Mr Yoshimura and the others, even the patrons, are familiar with her antics as they just enjoy seeing her show due the fact she's loaded with cash so hey it's her money that going into their hands. Kei disguise is a brown Mid-length wig with shades to cover up her eyes and just whatever boring or silly outfit she has to wear along with her white cane and service dog Rex the Shepard Dog who she trained herself personally to distinguish a ghouls scent and when to behave near one. Kei's enhanced sense has helped her distinguish people or simply just analyzing knowing first hand that Mr Yoshimura and the others were ghouls in Antekiu but decided to keep quiet since they seem to just want to live and have left their past behind with that in mind she keeps quiet instead just treats like ordinary people.

Kei is hailed by many as a Prodigy, Sliver Reaper, Enchantress by the CCG and Talky, Judge, Hope, or even Masky to ghoul. With life being full of twists and turns, Kei doesn't mind helping ghoul or humans since to her everyone is equal and she'll be the judge of that. As of now, she currently wants to protect others, and those she cares for sure she's blind but it doesn't stop her from achieving what she wants and ain't letting nobody stop her.
