challenge ,   but    that’s   not

exactly what my special gift

tiffany was revealed as the 13th member of loona, despite loona originally intended as a 12 member group. this was because tiffany originally did not exist, but was created by the disorder and chaos of the loonaverse that has started to occur ( what heejin mentions in her solo mv about needing to clean ). yeojin’s reluctance to leave eden caused the loonaverse to be incomplete, missing one girl to complete the full cycle. as a result of being an ‘accident’ and ‘mistake’, tiffany is truly the odd girl out, but her path aligns with yeojin’s. at the time of tiffany’s creation, she resided in a part of the loonaverse that none of the girls resided in — a dark and empty abyss. she was unable to leave , but her simple existence made a spark and was enough for yeojin to leave eden, not knowing that it was tiffany behind the reasoning. with yeojin back in earth with ⅓, tiffany is freed from the abyss. she can now travel between loonaverses. ( there are multiple loonaverses, this is discovered because of tiffany’s power )

tiffany has a wide range , but she

is mainly a soprano. she will often

sing high notes, but while bbc likes

to give chuu , kim lip , jinsoul , and

heejin the high notes , tiffany gets

to sing whole verses that are quite

high ( but not extremely high, those

would be the high notes that the

previous listed get )

her voice is quite airy !

she can rap only in english, but sing

in korean and english.

O1. solo : DEJA VU ( dreamcatcher )

this song has a mysterious, calm, yet eerie, dark vibe, while still being a reasonably sweet and gentle song ? tiffany has a wide range, she can hit the high notes and also pull off the deeper and lower notes of the song. she can only rap in english so luckily this song doesn’t have any rap ><

this track is about tiffany’s creation and how she was trapped in the abyss, before being freed and able to travel through loonaverses. but as she travels through the different loonaverses, she finds that she doesn’t have a role in any — truly just an accident, a mistake, a creation from disorder. she sings about the sense of ‘deja vu’, how in each loonaverse, while different events are occurring, she has no place in any of them.

O2. bside : MILKSHAKE ft olivia hye ( red velvet )

this track would show off the more energetic and fun sides to both tiffany and olivia hye, who are usually known for their ‘darker’ concept. hyejoo would do the more hardcore part of the rap while tiffany would probably do a small rap, which she could probably pull off.

this track doesn’t have much connection to the loonaverse and is mainly showing off hyejoo and tiffany’s talent. however there is a tiny meaning underneath the lyrics, showing tiffany ( and yeojin’s ) reluctance and inability to leave [ eden + abyss ] as they are stuck in their current position, ‘addicted’

music video :

the video starts with a clip at a train station . the girls of ⅓ are leaving on a trip and they invite yeojin to them, but yeojin refuses and stays behind with yyxy. ( 30 second clip, calming train station / train audio, people chattering in the background )

during the intro music, tiffany is shown in a white / empty room with nothing but a fluorescent lavender light. her face is streaked with tears.

when the first verse starts, she is shown in an apartment bathroom in a fancy dress and heels. her hands are stained with blackberry stains ( which look like blood if you are not familiar with blackberry stains ) she stares at her reflection in the mirror.

during the prechorus, tiffany is seen walking in the dark + dirty apartment hall ( still in her fancy dress )

during the chorus, she is seen in the fluorescent room, not in fancy clothes but in plain clothes ( only white ) and seems much more comfortable.

in the second verse, tiffany is back in the bathroom, washing off her hands. the blackberry stains wash off, turning into blood. she looks into her reflection and she turns into many more images of herself.

when the prechorus starts again, she is shown in the hall, but this time in the corner sitting down, crying.

in the second chorus, she is in the apartment room, in her fancy clothes, but she rips off her wig ( long hair ) and clothes. she tears her dress and kicks off her heels.

during the bridge, she lights her clothes on fire and the room burns around her, turning into the original fluorescent lavender room. the camera pans around her, now with her plain hair ( short ) and clothes.

in the final chorus she moves from the lavender room into the hallway again, where it is still dark and dreary. she goes to the crying self in the corner of the hallway and takes off the wig to see a vulnerable version of herself.

‘meraki’ : (n.) the soul, creativity, or love put into something; the essence of yourself that is put into your work

yeojin and tiffany, whose lives formed around reluctance and hidden from the others, in their own world, are pushed together at the most unlikely moment. yeojin doesn’t fit in with the other girls from earth and tiffany finds herself as a mistake and oddity no matter which loonaverse she travels to. together, they find the missing part of themselves : the meraki left in each other.

i think it would be so interesting for tiffany and yeojin to sing a bg track, and the song would show off their vocals well ! it would also show their reluctance and how they never fit in. the music video would be set in a whimsical land similar to txt’s mv, but with the rest of the loona and showing how they are left out, but find each other.
