Avengers Endgame-Ranking The Survivors

Hey Marvelites Steeb here and today I’m back with another blog and I know it’s probably a few months late but today I’m going to be ranking all 16 characters in Avengers Endgame who survived the events of Avengers Infinity War after the blip or when Thanos snapped his fingers.

There are a few things I’d like to point out before I get started them being that first and foremost this is my opinion if you don’t like it then feel free to comment down below why and secondly the characters who are ranked are the characters who Marvel Studios gave survivor posters to now without further ado let’s begin.

16. Happy Hogan

While we see Happy mourning Tony after his funeral having a touching moment with Tony’s daughter Morgan Stark we didn’t see him at all before Tony’s funeral he wasn’t even mentioned once so he will be getting the lowest rank on this list.

15. James Rhodes/War Machine

Rhodey was really underwhelming in this movie sadly he didn’t do anything important which has basically been his character in the MCU he’s had no real character arc throughout his time in the MCU and has basically just been a sidekick to Tony Stark his jokes weren’t necessary and seemed forced in my opinion and when Tony died his reaction was so underwhelming compared to Peter Parker’s and Pepper Potts’s reaction I felt no emotion whatsoever.

14. Okoye

Okoye wasn’t bad in this movie in my opinion she wasn’t amazing either though she was just the same character in the other movies she’s appeared in with no character development she does her job protecting Wakanda and is a warrior a soldier who follows orders. Her most notable moment is when she rally’s the Marvel women to help Carol Danvers against Thanos’s forces.

13. Clint Barton

Probably another shocking choice to some but Clint Barton’s ending in Endgame wasn’t the right one for me he went on a killing spree for 5 years killing people in Mexican drug cartels and Yakuza , yes they weren’t innocent but it was still wrong for him to kill like that. I feel like he did add to the story and from what we did see of him he Marvel did him well but I feel as if dying for the soul stone would’ve been a much better ending for him as he would’ve made up for all those deaths by giving life to trillions of others all over the universe.

12. Wong

Another character who didn’t play a huge role at all in Endgame Wong was only present during the final battle and during Tony Stark’s funeral. However he did help Doctor Strange and the other sorcerers to bring the recently revived blipped heroes to the final battle against Thanos.

11. Valkyrie

Valkyrie didn’t get enough screen time in endgame which was disappointing but from what we did see of her she was a fierce warrior in the final battle against Thanos and was even trusted enough by Thor to become the King Of New Asgard showing that from her drunk state in Thor Ragnarok she really has come a long way.

10. Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel

Carol Danvers wasn’t in this movie a whole lot which I think was a good decision as the focus was and should’ve been on the 6 original Avengers she got some amazing moments though like battling Thanos to a standstill after he attempted to snap again and blowing up his entire ship. My only problem with Carol in this movie is the fact that she was the leader in the all Marvel women team up scene I don’t believe it was her place to do so as I believe 2 other survivors who will be mentioned later on should’ve been leading the group of Marvel women instead of Carol especially since this was her first and only proper battle with the Avengers half the females probably didn’t even know who she was.

9. Thor Odinson

After being the strongest Avenger in Infinity War and being the closest to kill Thanos before he snapped his fingers, Thor kinda took a back seat in Endgame which was both a bad and good decision. We didn’t really see Thor get a proper showdown with Thanos where he was the victor despite him killing the Thanos of the present day. The Endgame Thor was very different to the Thor we got in Infinity War as he is actually more faithful to the Norse mythology version of Thor then Marvel Comics version of Thor. He got some amazing moments like his conversation with his mother and wielding both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker but he was kinda there for comic relief and took a backseat after his Infinity War heroics which was good as that allowed Steve Rogers to take more of a bigger role in Endgame compared to the small role he had in Infinity War. Thor’s role is in contrast with Valkyrie’s too as when the 2 first met Thor was the noble warrior wanting to save Asgard and Valkyrie was the drunk has been warrior but at the end of Endgame their roles have switched.

8. Pepper Potts/Rescue

Pepper Potts is the person who inspired Tony Stark to go and help the Avengers to bring everyone back knowing it was the right thing for everyone and Tony himself as she knew he wouldn’t be able to rest until he completed his journey. She even manages to stay strong until Tony’s final moments telling him he. “Can rest now.” Before breaking down. I believe she should’ve been the woman to lead the female Avengers as she’s been there since the beginning along with Tony and was the first woman in the MCU.

7. Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon as almost an entirely different person in Endgame compared to the rest of the movies he’s been in as be wasn’t just a. “Professional asshole.” Who cracked jokes and blasted his gun all the time. While he did have some funny moments we actually saw a serious and broken Rocket who helped the Avengers with their time travel machine and build the gauntlet as well as lecturing Thor about how getting the reality Stone was more important then saving his mother who was going to die on the exact day they travelled to the past.

6. Bruce Banner/Professor Hulk

Brains and the brawn Bruce finally came to with his other half The Hulk as he realised that the Hulk wasn’t a burden he was actually his greatest asset as he combined both his and the Hulks strongest points forming both a strong and intelligent hero. Bruce was also the one who snapped his fingers to bring all the blipped beings of the universe back to life losing an arm in the process as well as being the one to convince a broken and drunk Thor to re the Avengers to help them retrieve the infinity stones. The self proclaimed. “Monster.” Of the team which he once called a. “Time bomb.” Was the one who brought everyone back as well as helping that same team defeat Thanos once and for all.

5. Scott Lang/Ant-Man

Scott Lang was the man who gave the Avengers hope to bring everyone back as he was the one who gave them the idea to go back in time and retrieve the stones from the past and bring them to the present day in order to snap their own fingers to bring everyone who was lost back. He was also the one to help Professor Hulk, Rhodey, and Rocket out of the crushed debris which was once the Avengers compound as well as punching giant leviathans in the final battle against Thanos as well as getting the happy ending he deserved with his daughter Cassie and his partner Hope.

4. Nebula

One of the MCU’s most underrated characters, Nebula was a great asset to the team as she was the one who knew Thanos the best she did a lot in this movie as she comforted and helped Tony Stark while the 2 were stuck in space, told the team where Thanos was, informed the team where the soul stone was, sacrificed a part of her body despite not wanting to in order for the Avengers to gain the power stone and even convincing 2014 Gamora to the Avengers to help them in taking down Thanos as well as being one of the only few heroes during the 5 years after the blip to make sure the universe was still ok along with Rocket. Her knowledge of the past was also useful as she knew the point in which her and Rhodey were going back in time was the same point where Thanos was attempting to collect the power stone.

3. Tony Stark/Iron Man

The one who started it all Tony Stark was a futurist who knew he couldn’t rest until the job was done despite the 5 years after the snap being the best years of his life as he got married to his long time girlfriend Pepper Potts and even had a child named Morgan with her, However he still got the ending he never wanted but he knew it would be the ending he would always get. He was the one who figured out time travel and did get some good things out of it when he did travel back in the past such as making peace with his father who he had always had a strained relationship with. He was also the one to snap to defeat Thanos’s army once and for all sacrificing himself in the process proving that Steve was wrong about him not being the one to make a sacrifice. He also played a part in building the Stark Gauntlet along with Rocket and Professor Hulk.

2. Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow

The one who never gave up Natasha Romanoff was the one Avenger who actually tried to fix the world during the 5 years after the snap despite being broken. The blip was too hard to handle even for someone like her who was trained to not breakdown, it was probably the worst point in her life even worse than her time in the red room as everyone she knew had left her alone while her family were all busy with other things she was the one who worked with other heroes across the universe to try and make the world a better place. Her final moments and her sacrifice were so heartbreaking as she realised that the only way to bring her family back was to give her life up for it, although I don’t think it should’ve been her who died for the soul stone it was still the most heroic thing done during the time heist as without her the Avengers wouldn’t have won.

1. Steve Rogers/Captain America

Steve was the most important person in my opinion during Endgame as he was the leader the one people followed during the time heist and final fight against Thanos. Even before Scott showed up Steve was helping civilians in honour of his friend Sam Wilson who worked at the VA. Steve was instrumental in leading the Avengers being the one who got the mind stone with his quick thinking. When the past Thanos from 2014 arrived in the present day Steve wielded Mjolnir also proving Tony wrong who told him everything special about him came out of a bottle. Even when Steve was injured and his teammates were all down he still stood against Thanos and his army he then proceeded to lead the Avengers against his army. After the battle and Tony Stark’s funeral Steve was the one who returned the stones to their original timelines but he decided to stay in the past with Peggy which I’m not a fan of in my opinion that ruined Steve’s character arc and was basically a glorified fan fiction from the Russo brothers. When Steve returned he ed his shield on to Sam Wilson ending his time as Captain America allowing for the hero to live on at the same time.
