Now let's start with our new Captain America, John Walker. From the very first episode when we don't even know who the new Captin America is yet, I believe most fans could agree that it was a bit obvious that John would never be able to pull off the role of Captain America. I know I did. But of course, none of us could've predicted just how wrong he was for the position. By the time John makes his first appearance in episode 4, it's already obvious that he's grown sporadic, jumpy. As Bucky put it, he was a crazy one. Further in we see John slowly slip deeper and deeper into madness and his own ego, and our first real red flag is when he decides to keep the last vial of super serum to himself instead of destroying it or telling the others of his findings like he should. And then he goes and kills a semi innocent man. In front of the whole world. Now of course, after such an incident it's obvious that John is going to have to give up the mantle of Captain America, but I don't believe he'll be willing to let go of that shield so easily. Of course that's not the main point. The main point is that this is the first time that the shield has ever had blood on it. Never in over the 75 years of it's existence as the weapon of Captain America, has that shield ever had a speck of blood on it, until John Walker. Now of course, the man has clearly ruined his own image, but I believe it goes deeper than that. Not only has he ruined his reputation, but the reputation of Captain America itself. He's tainted the symbol of hope with blood, and even if you can't see it anymore, that blood will never wash away. And that blood will be ed on to whoever takes the mantle of Captain America. They'll have to deal with the whole world constantly questioning their morality, wondering if they'll be able to live up to the name of Steve Rogers, or if they'll become just another John Walker, here to further taint the image of Captain America.
Well that's all I have to say about the ending of the 4th episode, hope you enjoyed and have a wonderful rest of your day, and if you have any opinions or observations of your own, feel free to share them below in the comments! Ciao!

Very nice blog. That image shook me the first time I saw it. I couldn't move for a while and my eyes watered a bit. I know it's a show but that symbol of hope and justice means more for fans like me and you. We just have to hope Sam will realize why he needs to keep the shield and restore its true symbolic luster.
Thank you, I'm so glad you could understand what I was trying to convey!
