He has his own downfalls, which can occasionally show, and has plenty of flaws that get in the way. Still, he tries to be relatively friendly, even if it can show off his naivety. Just don’t take his appreciation for everything for granted.

Elio was an accident baby in two ways. For one, which is obvious, he wasn’t expected. His parents didn’t expect or want to have a kid but he came as a surprise one day when they went to the doctor for unrelated problems. The second reason was that it was terrible timing since shortly after the couple found out they were pregnant, they were abducted by aliens. It was a situation of wrong place at the wrong time. It was one of those situations that a few people see and go to the news about a so-called ‘alien sighting’ and it usually gets blown under the rug, especially back then when aliens weren’t as common on Earth.

From there, they ended up on Knowhere, doing work for some shady people. This is where Elio began to grow up, surrounded by a diverse set of aliens.

｢ ᴀᴅᴏʟᴇsᴄᴇɴᴄᴇ ｣

Elio began to delve deep into the scientific parts of the station. His parents allowed to be independent at a young age, allowing him to meet new people and do lots of things, even if they were dangerous. They were pretty neglectful, mostly because there was a huge disconnect between him and his parents - he wanted to stay put while they were set on getting back to Earth as soon as they could. It was truly no one’s fault, at least the parts where they disagreed about what to do, not the fact that they mostly ignored him. They just had different definitions of home. Elios home was on Knowhere, where he could play with a bunch of chemicals and create explosions that rattled the lab he had managed to put together through his teen years.

｢ ᴀᴅᴜʟᴛʜᴏᴏᴅ ｣

The day Elio turned 18 was the day he actually left Knowhere. It’s when he got to go to Earth, except it wasn’t with his parents. He actually went behind their backs after a particularly harsh fight and ended up hitching a ride with some pirates in exchange for some bombs he made. He grew close along the way, but as soon as they landed on Earth, he began to do his own thing. He obviously blended in, the only thing that stood out was his clothing but considering he looked human, he was fine.

Elio is good at staying hidden. He doesn’t spend all his time on Earth, but it’s nice to see people who look like him. He lives in the suburbs around New York, specifically in an abandoned house that he keeps locked up with things he finds and owns. He even has his own lab in there where he can build explosives. He poses no threat, but he still shouldn’t be underestimated. His looks and personality upon first meeting him are deceiving and he not known for holding back when he wants something done. If someone messes with him, he doesn’t forget about it.

Elio doesn’t have any typical powers or abilities other than the fact that he is smarter than the average person when it comes to chemistry and explosives. He picks up on things very fast and is good at figuring out equations.

He usually has a backpack with him, which has a few go-to chemicals for emergencies. He’s learned not to carry that around on Earth, however, after an incident where he was almost caught and nearly caused chaos in a mall.
