The beginning of Max’s childhood is normal for the most part, but things start to get different when she turns ten. Her mother dies in a car crash. It was hard to deal with when she was younger, wondering what she did wrong for this to happen. It also got her afraid of driving years later in her teen years. How her father responded to this all scared Max, he didn’t want to talk to Max anymore, to hug her and tell her everything is okay. He completely shut Max out from his life, only occasionally speaking to her on the daily. This made her have trouble understanding later in life what heathy relationships were, and a trouble with physical affection. Into her teen years Max worked hard and studied so she could get into a good college. Hoping that maybe her dad might be proud of her if she did, wanting any sort of recognition for so long. She’s an only child so this is the only child her dad has. When she was around the age of sixteen she found an antic necklace in her closet. She knew it didn't belong to her, so she was confused on why it was just laying there. When she touched it she was shocked. She didn't think anything of it until a couple of days later there were flowers growing all in her room. Apparently that necklace was magical, and now she has the power to use the elementals as she chooses. Great. Now she tries to use it for good, and to her best ability. Even if she screws up a lot, like, a lot.
