After the Hydra Empire was transport to Chronopolis, the empire formed an alliance with Kang the Conquer. This alliance would create a rift between Hydra Four, a Hydra version of the Avengers. Even though Militant was the leader of the group, Tatical Force and Bowman were pick by Kang for his army, which made Militant and Hammer the laughing stock of Hydra. Scorned by this, they defected and asked the player to help them fight three task forces.
