The air was still as she looked in the crowd to spot her friends, actually, her new family that she found in New York. When the music started the girl started her ballet routine, but something seemed off about the whole thing to her. The music wasn’t normal music, it seemed to be warped as people from her past kept interrupting the music. She pushed through the people from her drunk stepfather to Captain America, but she stopped when her mother showed up. When the girl looked around again, the stage was changed to a hospital room, and when she went to look back at her mother, she was sitting on the bed. “You’re a disappointment, Genesis.”

“I know Mama, but I’ve been trying! How you told me that you loved Captain America as a little girl? Well, I’m good friends with him.” The older woman rolled her eyes as she folded her arms at her daughter. “You could have done something better. You don’t deserve to stand beside the heroes of the world.” Genesis lowered her head as she nodded at the woman lying in the hospital bed as she continued, “They don’t need you on their team, they keep you because they feel sorry that no one wanted to keep you.”

“DON’T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?!” Genesis shouted at her mother with tears in her eyes. “I know that I’m just a piece of trash that they picked up off the side of the road! I know! Okay?! You don’t have to keep telling me that I am the worst thing that has ever happened to anyone around here! I know….I know.” The red-hair girl broke down crying just before Hawkeye would snap her out of her trance that was placed on her by one of the Romanian twins. “Hey kid, everything is okay, just relax, You are here with everyone, and they were worried sick about you.” Genesis just let out a sigh as she sat up in the bed that she was laying down on and immediately hugged Clint as tears ran down her cheeks. “Thank you so much for dealing with me.” ˊˎ-

˗ˏˋ Genesis Marie Daulton was born December 16th 1991 to a teenage couple who would eventually have a shotgun wedding and have to be more grown-up than they actually were. Genesis doesn’t have much memory of her childhood years well what adult does? Genesis does the day her father abandoned her and her mother when she was only six years old. Her father’s face was blurry as he turned away from her, she wished he would have at least taken her with him, but alas she was forced to stay with a woman who didn’t even want her. That is when she had to start taking care of herself because her mother was never around to do so. Genesis had learned that she cannot rely on others to get what she wants. From the age of four to the age of sixteen, Genesis had to do ballet, she liked doing it to get away from her mother for a few hours. From the age of six to the age of twelve Genesis was a part of beauty pageants even when she protested against it. When Geni was about eight her mother married a man named George, she didn’t really like him, she hoped that her mother was joking about marrying the man, but she did it. Genesis witnessed her mother’s physical and emotional abuse and she tried to stop it, but no one would believe her story since her mother was known to be a homewrecker around the suburbs, even when he started to abuse her, no one paid attention to her cries out for help. When she turned she turned ten, George made Lousie and Genesis move out into the actual city of Washington D.C. to isolate them from their family, Geni at this point lost her voice against George, so she stayed quiet for years. ˊˎ-

teenage years

˗ˏˋ When Genesis turned thirteen she met her best friend Kayla Reid, oftentimes Geni would go stay at Kayla’s house for months without her mother or stepfather even noticing, and when they did all hell broke loose. George would get even more physically abusive and Lousie would emotionally abuse her until Genesis acted like a broken shell of a person. Kayla’s parents did everything in their power to keep her safe, but one day Genesis stopped coming to their house, when Kayla asked, Geni expressed that she was worried about what her mother and stepfather would do to Kayla’s family, so unless Genesis asked her stepfather to go, she couldn’t. Genesis was fourteen when her mother was diagnosed with Leukemia and she had to stay at the hospital, Geni witnessed her mother’s husband cheat on her, party, plan murders, and when talked about how he really wanted the both of them dead. Genesis decided that she was going to start working even harder on her schooling so she could graduate early and move to her aunt in New York and no surprise she was able to do it, she used her mother as an inspiration to help her through it, but every teen had a rebellious phase, and Geni decided that drinking, smoking weed, and dressing in provocative black clothes was the rebellious phase that she never truly lost. Genesis may have drunk and smoked, but she at least made sure that her school things were always done correctly.  When Genesis turned sixteen she was able to graduate high school and she started getting her things ready to move when she got the news that her mother had died, which was odd since her mother was actually getting better. It didn’t make sense to her until she got home and saw her step-father talking to a couple of people, a man, and a woman, he had ordered her death and now he wants Genesis’s head, she was able to sneak into her room and take all of her things and run away to New York City. Kayla had helped Geni get to Philadelphia, but Genesis would have to find another way to New York, she walked from Philadelphia to Camden then she got on a train that when from Camden to New York City. Once she got to the city, she knew she needed to see her aunt who was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. From sixteen to nineteen Genesis was trained by her aunt Lauren to become an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. and when eventually got the job. ˊˎ-

˗ˏˋ The other agents from S.H.I.E.L.D. were actually very kind to Genesis and many of them helped her train with one being an amazing archer named Clint Barton. Genesis actually saw Client like a father figure that she always needed, and she was glad to finally have others around her to call family. When Genesis turned twenty-one, she would help a group of people that were very different from each other, two scientists, one turns into a monster, and the other really like whips. a billionaire who a robot suit, two gods, another agent, and two supersoldiers to stop a god from destroying the world with aliens. When Wanda used her mind manipulation on Genesis, she had a dream of her mother and how much of a screw-up she is, but once she woke up she had a different attitude about everything around her. Genesis finally wasn’t going to sit and complain any longer, she was finally going to try and that is what she did. She would witness the break up of the avengers, and she was on Steve’s side until she realized that Bunky and Lydia were the ones who killed her mother, she was pissed and attacked the two of them, she didn’t win the fight, but she just wanted justice for her mother. Two years after the break up of the avengers, they had to fight a guy who was trying to kill half of the universe, but they weren’t successful in the attempt, and he was able to snap away half of the people on earth, which included her best friend Bridgette, her aunt Lauren, Penelope Wyatt, and Dimitri Yahontov. She had no idea what to do or how to help, but the next five years of her life was uneventful for she struggled with her depression, she tried everything to help others with how to figure this thing out, but she had no answers and she hated that she was worthless in this situation, but once the team came back and got started working on defeating Thanos and restoring everything back to normal, she was happy to get things back, but it was never normal afterward. ˊˎ-
