Cat Noir's POV

It's been exactly two weeks since Hawkmoth took control of the MMO. And after that day, no one has managed to find the first level boss and dungeon.

Not even I, one of the Surviving Five, knew where it was. I leaned against an elderly willow tree; pondering what other places there were to search for the first level.

I knew that everyday here meant a lost day back in the real world. Time was of the essence.

Upon given the gift of one of the five Miracle Swords from the true, supposed creator of MO, Master Fu, I have sworn to find the other of the Surviving Five and stop this tyranny.

My sword had the name Plagg(I had no clue what that meant). It was a thick, broad blade split into two colors equally, silver and black. The grey hilt was curved upward and the onyx handle had a neon green paw print decorating it;symbolizing a cat's paw. It was a splendid-looking sword: how it would help me fare battling monsters however if whether or not Master Fu was lying about these swords' potential.

"Everyone!" A man shouted. "All those who can assist in defeating the level bosses and dungeons, come to the Roman theater for a meeting! The first level boss had been found!"

What?! They found the boss dungeon?! I was relieved, I thought the players and I would never find it. After all, it had been two weeks of intense, never ending playing. Oh well, it looks like I'm heading for that meeting.

***

True as that man said, many warriors of all varieties showed up. Mace s, sword wielders, shield holders, and such. I assumed they wanted out of this game as soon as possible. Some had families. Some had jobs. Some had destinies and duties they needed to fulfill. Me? I have nothing waiting for me back home. If I ever head back to that prison cell my father calls a home, I would rather die in this game. I know it was foolish and selfish of me, but I wanted to stay in this game forever.

"Alright now settle down!" A teen about my age with brown hair and glasses over his eyes quieted the muttering. "I'm sure you all are aware why we have gathered here today. We have found the boss room."

Gasps of astonishment and amazement echoed throughout the theater. I sat still; arms crossed, waiting eagerly to fight. I've been feeling restless for days: not having anything to do with the spare time except gathering food and money. I had enough of both to last me a few more days so I was excited to fight a real boss after months of waiting from the beta test.

The teen raised his hand to ask for silence. "My name is Max, but you all can call me the Gamer." No claps of applause after that nickname, but a few chuckles and snickers here and there.

"That's a stupid name." A new voice interrupted.

Max glared toward the front sidelines. "Shut up Kim, it's an awesome name," Max sighed defeatedly. "Anyways, everyone here has the right to the expedition to kill the boss-"

"Hold it!" Kim yelled. He stood up and walked briskly to the stage; flaunting his albino and black hair dramatically. He had a tall, athletic build and had a short, dangling blade attracted to his hip.

Another swordsman. Could he be a Miracle Sword Holder?

Max rolled his eyes. "What is it now Kim? We're trying to-"

"I know exactly what we're doing. I just disagree with one of your statements." Kim said cockily.

Max groaned. "Everyone, this is my friend, Kim. So what is it that you disagree with? I haven't even-"

"I don't believe that everyone here has the right to fight the boss." Kim said blatantly. The other players immediately began protesting in disagreement. I disgreed completely as well. What possible reason could he have for not letting all of us participate?

"What the heck is wrong with you?!," Max exclaimed. "Of course everyone has-"

"Let me finish!" Kim boomed; sending a ive aggressive aura. "What I mean is that I don't think any of the beta testers or Miracle Sword Holders should be allowed to fight."

I jerked at his words. If he finds out that I'm one of the one hundred beta testers and a Miracle Sword Holder, I was going to be in serious trouble.

"Why-" Max started.

"Because they all abandoned the rest of us in our time of need!," Kim shouted in frustration. "After Hawkmoth appeared, the beta testers just took off; taking every single quest for themselves! Not to mention, the Miracle Sword Holders should have had their sword by now! They have the ability to free us all from this game right here and now, but no! They're selfish, despicable people who just hoard the power for themselves!"

I flinched. Sure, I took on some quests, but mine were the ones that always regenerated. And didn't he listen when Hawkmoth explained that if you possess the sword, you could only free yourself? Where was Kim going with this? My anxiety grew when the rest of the players began to agree with him.

"I bet that some of you here are beta testers or maybe even a Miracle Sword Holder," Kim continued. "I say give yourself up by getting up here, giving us all your items, and grovel for forgiveness! I'm in a good mood today, so I just might let you off the hook," Kim smirked; it was obvious that he wasn't here to forgive and forget. "So any objections?"

The sudden silence was deafening. What should I do? Should I go up and grovel? Or should I object? Or maybe just stay quiet? I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping that no one would glance my way; praying that someone would speak up. What a coward I was. Pitiful and pathetic.

"I object!" With those words, my prayers were answered and I was spared. I blinked twice to make sure I was seeing correctly and that my hearing was working.

A girl with curly, ombré hair like a roaring fire raised her hand. "I said, I object!"

"What?!" Kim exclaimed in shock."But didn't you just hear what I-"

The fiery haired girl just pushed her pointer finger against his lips. How did she get on the stage so quickly?

"Let me get this straight," The girl started; removing her finger. "You believe that the beta testers and the Miracle Holder Swords are selfish, ambitious creatures who care about nothing, but their own well-being. Correct?"

"Yes," Kim said cautiously. "Just what are you getting at?"

Her amber irises glowed. She held up an item to what looked like the digital device that was handed out to every player for free at the marketplace. "You got this device like everyone else in the MMO right?"

"Um...Yes." Kim said while reaching into his pocket to reveal that he also had one.

"When you sign in, there's an app called "The MiracleBlog", tap on it." The girl said; pushing up the rims of her jet black glasses.

Beep! Beep! Beep! I taped on the app as well; to be met with a boatload of information of all varieties about the Miraculous Tower.

"Just what is this?" Max asked incredulously.

"It's information about each of the twenty bosses on each level given to us by one of the Surviving Five them self, a beta tester," The girl smirked in victory. "So as you can see, the beta testers are with us every step of the way so there's no need to exclude them for the front lines."

Kim was mute that someone proved him wrong. Jaw-dropped even. "Just...who are you?" He inquired.

The girl smiled. "You can call me, Volpina."

***

I was so relived and exhausted from the terror I felt. I would have to tell Volpina that she was great later on her courageous speech and debate. She's got guts.

"Alright settle down everyone! Again...," Max called. "From this new profound information, there is no doubt that we will beat the first boss!" The crowd cheered wildly. Courage filled our empty hearts.

"Now for safety, I want all of you to party up with at least five to six other players."

Wait, what?! We have to have...partners?! I immediately scanned the theater for any other scattering , but most have already form a group.

Luck was on my side as I noticed someone sitting a few feet away from me. I casually scooted over.

I couldn't see the person's face because of the dark scarlet cloak and hood that covered their body and face. I was nervous, what could I say?

"You were left out too?" I asked like an idiot. Obvious much? I wanted to kick myself.

Surprisingly, I heard a female chuckle escape her throat. "I wouldn't call it left out. Rather I decided not to in."

"Why don't you party up with me?" I asked; half expecting her to maybe say no.

She faced me(At least, I think so). Shrugging, she said "Why not?"

I swiped down and clicked the party up button. She clicked accept.

The screen read; Ladybug has accepted your invitation.

Ladybug, huh.

"Has everybody partnered up? Great! We start for the first level first thing tomorrow!"

I groaned: I wasn't much of a morning person. The sound of that news left me yet exhilarated, I was itching to move my muscles. I was about to complain to my new partner about the settled time; maybe joke about it with her, but she was already gone.

***

More cliffhangers! Haha!Looks like Cat Noir and Ladybug have finally met one another! I hope this chapter has let you kitties pondering what will happen next. Just wow, Kim. Interrupted nearly every single one of Max’s sentences only to be schooled by Volpina; whoever she is. Duh! Duh! Duh! Feel free to comment down suggestions! I’m always looking for ways to improve. Stay tuned for next time for the terrors of the first floor! MEOUT!!!!! :cat:
