From what we were told, the fox is a trickster and the miraculouses' powers are illusions, but are they really? The miraculouses meanings must go deeper that what people assume! After hours of digging on the foxes' meaning, spirituals, etc, I am here to tell you what she means!

The Fox Theory-From what we were told, the fox is a trickster and the miraculouses' powers are illusions, but are they really
What we know

We all know just by watching the Volpina episode in season one that the fox is a trickster. Volpina was made to create lies and illusions, making people believe what she wanted them to. The reason it has such a superficial meaning is that that's what most people know. If you go to someone on the streets and ask them what is the meaning of foxes, they'll most likely say it's a liar and trickster. Now, let's dig deeper in the foxes history, meaning, and behaviour.

The Fox Theory-From what we were told, the fox is a trickster and the miraculouses' powers are illusions, but are they really
Behaviour

You might be wondering, why do we need to know their behaviour? Well, by knowing their behaviour, you can know a bit more about how the civilian and hero persona will act like. Now, we all (if not, most) know that Alya is having the fox miraculous, that makes our lives a bit simpler. Let's compare a fox's behaviour to our Ladyblogger.

~ Unlike many canids, foxes are not always pack animals. Typically, they live in small family groups, but some (Arctic foxes) are known to be solitary.

We all know that our dear Alya is very a independent teenage girl, it is global knowledge. She trusts herself to be able to do things without help from other (besides LB and CN)

~ Many species are generalist predators

You could, in some ways, call Alya a predator. She has a 'prey', she goes after it. It is, the reporter in her.

~ There is a strict dominance hierarchy within social groups.

Without the second season out, we can still not be sure about Alya's status if they have a miraculous team. It is clear that Alya is considered dominant in her civilian life within her friends and environment. However, she practically worships the two main Paris's heroes, which shows that they would be the dominant male and female in her social group.

~ Foxes live in social groups – three or four adults are quite common (though 10 were recorded in one Bristol group). These consist of equal numbers of dogs and vixens. (Dogs mean males and vixens mean females)

Though the most common are three to four adults, it can still go up to ten. In hero life, there are seven miraculouses, but we only know for sure that they are going to be four in total in the miraculous team. Because of the improper number, there might be a bit of that to not be true in their team.

Now, Alya's main group is Marinette, Nino, and Adrien. It makes a perfect group of four with equal girls and boys. We can at least tell that that statement is true in her civilian life.

The Fox Theory-From what we were told, the fox is a trickster and the miraculouses' powers are illusions, but are they really
Culture

Now that we went over their behaviours, let's go to what is their meaning in different cultures.

~ In Western folklore and also in Persian folklore, foxes are depicted as a symbol of cunning and trickery – a reputation derived especially from their reputed ability to evade hunters.

These traits are used on a wide variety of characters, either making them a nuisance to the story, a misunderstood hero, or a devious villain.

~ In Asian folklore, foxes are depicted as a familiar spirit possessed of magic powers. Similar to Western folklore, foxes are depicted as mischievous, usually tricking other people, with the ability to disguise as an attractive female human. However, there are other depictions of foxes as a mystical, sacred creature, that can either bring wonder or ruin.

We can understand by these that fox based people are often misunderstood or evil. Let's go with Lila:

We could all see in the Volpina episode that Lila is a very seductive teenage girl that used lies to fuel her popularity. Which matches with the Asian belief of tricking people and under a female disguise.

Now with Alya:

By the cultural belief, it can be understood that Alya might be accidentally considered a villain because of the Volpina incident for a while. If not, she could become an ACTUAL villain for whatever reason. It also points to the the fact that she might be a handful as a superhero and we already witnessed it as a civilian.

The Fox Theory-From what we were told, the fox is a trickster and the miraculouses' powers are illusions, but are they really
Dreams

Let's now check out what it would mean to dream with a fox:

~ Dreaming of a fox is not always a good omen, but rather a sign of unpleasant events. For example, you could be in danger if you dream playing with a fox.

We could interpret the playing part with teaming up with the fox miraculous holder.

~ If you see a fox ing by you, it means you have some enemies that you are not yet aware of. The dream foretells successful outcome only if the fox is dead.

From this, we can consider the fact that our favorite heroes are having more enemies when we see Volpina stepping in. We can also consider the fact that this villain would be very discret, not known of the world, and possibly Hawk Moth's said future partner.

~ A fox that is being chased which appears in the dreams of women can show that there is a rival in love. To hear the fox’s scream in a dream warns you of danger coming your way. You might need to consider changing your residence or the company you spend time with temporarily.

We already saw the akumatized Volpina being chased by the two heroes and Lila charming Adrien. This obviously means that Marinette/Ladybug and/or Chloe will have a love rival for Adrien/Chat Noir, which was already seen BEFORE Lila even got akumatized.

If you have...

Seen a fox by you.

Had a pet fox.

Had a fox follow you.

Seen a red fox.

Seen a white fox.

Played with a fox.

Seen a dead fox.

Received a fox as a gift.

Seen a grey fox.

Heard a fox’s cry.

Killed a fox.

Had a fox attack you.

Hunted a fox.

Seen a fox with a bushy tail.

Fought with a fox.

Domesticated or tried to domesticate a fox.

Seen a shedding fox.

Positive changes are afoot if...

You are able to escape a fox.

You have a pleasant experience seeing a fox.

~ A fox is normally a sly creature, if this appeared in your dream then there will be an offence that is committed by someone sly. The actual details regarding the dream should be interpreted with the other element's of the dream. A fox is a negative sign in a dream. It is considered the symbol of abomination, lies, and deceptions. If a girl or a woman dreams of a fox, it means that someone is following her in secret, or that another woman or another person thinks about her in a negative way.

We can interpret by this that our new villain would be very sly, just like we said will be discret.

~ A shedding fox, or one with little fur means that you need to lift yourself off the ground and go for a new type of career. To be given a fox as a gift means that you may have a small problem with someone. To play with a fox means that you may be the victim of a minor crime. To escape a fox is a positive omen. To go on a fox hunt, on horses suggests that you are looking for a new challenge in your life.

~ Seeing a fox in your dream can mean that you are cheated in love, but also persecuted. Holding a foxes tail suggests money loss and stalking. If the fox in your dream has a bushy tail, it is a sign of a person you do not like. Fighting with a fox means you will quarrel with a wicked enemy. Domesticating a fox tells that you are going to love an unworthy person, while a shedding fox means a casual acquaintance.

~ If in your dream you kill a fox, this foretells unpleasant times, and that you are going to discover new personality traits within. Hunting a fox refers to a person close to you. Receiving a fox from somebody suggests worries, insecurities, and that you are more cunning than your enemy.

Here, master Fu is the guardian of the miraculouses, we know that, right? Well, he must give the fox miraculous to Alya, which IS a fox kwami. By giving her the miraculous, when she transforms, she basically becomes the meaning of a fox too. By ing LB and CN, it is like Master Fu giving the three a fox.

~ 1930s dream dictionaries state the following in reference to seeing featuring a fox in ones dream: A red fox refers to a rival in love. Seeing a red fox tells that you will discover that a person close to you has done something to harm you. It could also mean that you will be deceived by women, and that a secret haunts you.

We do not know what type of fox the miraculous is, we however know that the weight of saving the world and secret of the miraculouses will haunt them.

~ If you dream of a fox attacking chicken's it suggests that you will suffer because of fake friends. To dream that you are fox hunting on foot, or with guns means that you will be invited to a good party pretty soon. Simply seeing a fox in your dream suggests there are people in your life that you should probably not trust fully.

~ A fox running in a dream means you need to pay attention to rivals and competitors in waking life. You could have friends with a double character, or possible collaborators working on two fronts, lying, witting, and tricking you. It could symbolize the risk of falling into the trap of impostors. You should be careful of who you make friends with and with whom you will do business.

We can consider from this that someone close to the heroes will be agaisnt them. Friends? Classmates? Teachers? Family? Partners? Parents? We don't know...

~ A fox shows that there is someone around you that is sly or cunning, and that you do not have trust in your life at the moment. It can show that you think that your partner is likely to cheat on you.

Feelings that you may have encountered during a dream of a fox…

Cheated. Upset. Hoaxed. Betrayed. Sad. Confused. Sly.
