Now on Wattpad. Literally the whole story so far is up there, I just got out of habit of ing here.
TW: Mild bad language
Word Count: 8057 (excluding Author’ Note ect.)
Time taken: 7 days
Summary: Still setting up the new Tournament Arc. Don’t worry, no manga spoilers yet.
Author’s Note:
Before things start... I am an omnipotent body that can change the flow of the story if you so much as Go-Gos in my direction, so keep that to yourself. The original characters and base story beats were made by Horikoshi, I’m just relaying things in 1-B and making some changes to spruce things up.
Any correlation between the OCs and something else is a coincidence.
Hopefully you understand this before I piss you off in any way. Let me repeat that. This is my story; I am bored so I wanted to make something for fun, so fuck off if you get annoyed at me because I miss-measured the size of Re:Destro’s nose.
And before I forget, I’m writing this for my friends first so expect a few inside jokes that you won’t get.
So without further ado... I present the forty-seventh episode of Shenanigans In 1-B! WOO!

Kaikiban saw nothing. Stuck in a dark void somewhere. A dull light began to shine nearby before engulfing the darkness. Suddenly, he was stood in a child's bedroom. The walls were painted bright colours and a set of dolls were littered around the floor.
"What the hell...?" He muttered to himself, the door behind him busted open and two children came running in. The boy had a singular horn and the girl had completely pigmentless hair. They phased through his legs and a yellow ghost popped out of the boy's head and tackled the girl.
"Hey! We said no Quirks!" She wailed.
"I don't wanna play fair." He grinned, the girl started to steam slightly and her hair bunched together and waved across his face, getting a giggle from him.
"I will too then."
"Stop messing around inside!" Came a call from down the hallway, and to Kaikiban's surprise, his younger looking mother stood over the children with a smile; her hands on her hips.
"But he started it!" The girl, who was most likely Kakumeiso, whined somewhat.
"But she tickled me in the face!" The boy, almost certainly Moroshi, retorted.
"I don't care who started it, I'm going to finish it!" Mama Genyu said with a loving smile, sprouting what Kaikiban could deduce to be vine styled muscle tendons and snatched up the two children, getting shrieks and laughter.
A smoke covered everything and the family were gathered in the living room with a guest. Kai was surprised to see a familiar face.
"Auntie Chitose! Ups!" Little Mei demanded, reaching her arms up to be picked up by the blue woman.
^Auntie Chitose? I knew her before?^ The woman smiled and hoisted the child up and rested her in the crook of one arm.
"Show me the little booms!"
"Mei... didn't we tell you to be polite?" Papa Genyu asked her nicely, whatever the things that Kaikiban was seeing was something he ed. Or more specifically, Mei ed.
"Please show my your booms?" Mei looked up at the publisher with baby eyes.
"How could I refuse my favourite niece?" She took out a notepad, tore a page out and ripped it up.
"What about me?" Moroshi pulled at her skirt.
"You're not my niece, you're my nephew!" 'Auntie Chitose' told him.
"I want to be your niece." He pouted, spewing random nonsense that children usually do.
"And I'll be your nephew!" Mei celebrated.
"Maybe you can be, one day with your Quirk." Mama Genyu said ingly.
"Look what I can do with my Quirk!" She began to glow slightly and bones began to sprout out of her from all over. "I'm trying really hard to be like Mama!"
"That's wonderful!" Chitose ruffled her hair. "It will be wonderful to have the two of you with us."
"Us?" Moroshi looked confused.
"I'll tell you when you're older." The blue woman pretended to whisper, treating it like a secret.
"No, tell us now!" He begged as a child would.
"No. It is too grown up for you two." Papa Genyu said, picking Moroshi up. "It's almost time for beddy byes."
"But Auntie Chitose just got here." Kakumeiso huffed.
"I know. But I had a lot of stuff to report on. Next time I'll bring you a treat, 'kay?" The publisher stuck out her little finger, they shook on it.
"Deal!"
Once again, smoke puffed everything up and Kaikiban found himself standing in the front garden of a house. Little Mei and Moroshi were standing in the front doorway looking at their maternal figure, their paternal figure was behind them, trying to coral them inside. She was stood off against a group of people, all of which looked like they meant harm.
"Come on you two, mama's got some work to do." Papa Genyu tried coaxing them.
"Will Mama be okay?" Moroshi asked, sounding extremely worried.
"Of course. She'll always be there for you."
"Oetari Genyu." One of the people spoke, getting a deathly look from the woman. "We presume you know why we're here." Something whipped through him, and his jaw dislodged itself. The children screamed.
"I don't need confirmation about you being here. You're threatening my family. You will not be making it out alive." What had slashed the man was stuck out of her arm, a vine of muscle tendons with segments of sharp bone was coiling around menacingly. It obviously had a lot further reach than it looked and was deadly accurate. More bubbled from her arms.
"Mama! Don't hurt them!" Kakumeiso glowed again and managed to get past her father. Kaikiban watched as she began to spout steam across the garden in a frenzy and screams of fear came from within. Bones and cracking sounds came from her. Whipping her arm out behind her, Mama Genyu diced the people in one go and rushed towards the writhing mass, not hesitating in the slightest she stepped in. Bones impaled through her body but it didn't deter her. Finding her daughter in the steam, Oetari knelt down and embraced her with care.
"Shshsh. It's just a bad dream, okay? The bad people are gone. You saved the day, Mei." The bones stopped in their track and the steam died down. Mama Genyu pulled back and didn't seem startled when she saw a boy with brown hair staring blankly at her. The bones began to evaporate and the holes in her body began to fill themselves in.
"Mei?" Moroshi squeaked. The boy now sat in her place didn't deter from his dead stare at his mother.
"Hey, you tripped over. But things are alright now. Let's go inside." She took the child's hand and lead him inside.
^That's how I came to be... then this is more than just Kakumeiso's memories.^ Teenage Kaikiban thought slowly as more smoke clouded his view. ^Is this our life story?^ The smoke cleared and showed young Kaikiban sat at a table, a doctor was sat opposite him jotting down notes and inspecting him. The child just complied with what was happening with emotionless eyes.
"So she just one day burst into steam at seeing something traumatic and this was the result?" She asked, looking to the parents.
"You know what came too close to my children." Mama Genyu stated, getting a nod of realisation.
"I heard about that one. I didn't hear about this, however." Doc looked back to the boy. Kaikiban (present day) found that he could move within the present space, and attempted to interact with the devoid boy, his hand going straight through him. But everything in the room went greyscale at doing so.
^Did I really look like that? And what happened to the colour?^
"We wanted to keep this under control before most others have found out." Papa Genyu stated. "We're not treating him any differently then before."
"That's definitely good. Alienating them will not help in the slightest." Doc nodded. "I can't say that there's anything wrong with them either. They seem perfectly healthy. I'm a doctor, not a psychologist, so I cannot offer any advice about what's caused this." A hand was wavered before child Kai. "Can he talk?"
"Yes." The boy responded. "I just don't want to."
^I feel that, kid.^ Real Kai allowed himself that thought.
"I cannot offer anything else, Genyu-sans. I am sorry. Your child seems perfectly healthy. No issues were caused by what happened."
"Will this ever change back?" Papa Genyu asked.
"I do not know. Certainly not now. Perhaps in the future. But all I can advise is that you continue treating them normally."
More smoke and Kai found himself looking at a younger version of teenage him. Everything was still greyscale, but he was sat at a desk with a younger Atsuki.
"Why are you so adamant about doing all of this?" Atsuki asked.
"Because it's what I've been told to do." Was the dead serious response.
"Why don't you just let me fail?"
"Because that would be a waste of time."
"Trying to help me is a waste of time."
"Why? You annoyed me with your nihilism to the point I wanted to do something about it."
"But why waste time on me."
"Because you're bringing down the class average."
"True."
"You sit beside me as well, doing nothing every lesson. I cannot focus whilst you're messing around."
"You're pretty mean you know that?"
"I'm not mean. Just serious and honest."
"If I agree to let you help me now, want to grab a bite to eat after?"
"If you want to do that, then start actually doing your work." Old Kai instructed his new friend.
Smoke.
Kai was looking at a familiar scene, himself and a rather large boy with a letter being exchanged. What surprised him though, was that fucking Fukidashi Manga was by the door in the wall.
^Don't tell me that Seiotsu and Fukidashi actually knew each other before. Surely I must've just gotten caught up in their daydream.^
"I'm sorry, but you do know I'm a boy, right?" He said, giving the letter back. Seiotsu looked shocked.
"You're a guy?"
"Yes. We have P.E. together."
"Oh."
You get the gist.
"Thank you for helping me with the methmenticals." Kishou said bowing slightly.
"It is fine. If you have any more questions, just come back to me. Otherwise how will you improve?" Kaikiban responded. Things had turned into a quick play by play of how he met his original three U.A. friends.
The smoke came back in and it was the first day of U.A. the others were filing in. The old tug at his heart he had originally felt at seeing Kodai happened, but it was old news. When Setsuna walked in, colour seemed to follow everywhere she went. And when they started talking throughout the week, the colour began to come back into the scenes Kaikiban was watching. It seemed to culminate to when he went round her house to help Atsuki study. But looking back at the memory, he realised how much he had been watching her.
The Forest was next and everything with her seemed almost mythic to him. From the looks of things, to the him watching everything unfold, Setsuna had showed him something he couldn't describe. The strong urge to protect her when the gas rolled in and the lament he felt when everything went black after he fell under the effects of it when fighting Corvus.
When he kissed her for the first time at the Harvest Festival, the colour cemented itself and brought him up to speed with his memories. Something began to trickle from his face as the smoke came in and a light reached his eyes.
/-/
"Is he... okay?" Yaoyorozu asked the upper years on the bus. They had begun their trip to Shiketsu West. Kaikiban was sat in his seat slouched halfway down it, saliva was running down the side of his mouth. A dazed looked had crossed his face ever since he'd shaken hands with the prismatic third year.
"Probably." Hado nodded. Prisma guy was still touching Kai, likely the one causing this.
"They all do this. But at least they can still walk." He said casually, not showing any remorse for what he was doing to the poor guy. The dazed boy's eyes began to mist up and he blinked twice, water rolling from his eyes.
"Ugh."
"Kaikiban? Are you okay?" Itsuka asked him, concerned.
"I don't know. And what the hell is this?" He touched his damp cheeks, a stream of tears were coming from his eyes. "Am I crying?" His voice seemed to almost croak.
"Never seen that before." Kinoko said worriedly. "I don't think I've even seen you sad."
"What did you show me?" His magenta eyes bore into the third year next to him.
"I don't know. What did you see?"
"Some stuff I have a lot of questions about." Kaikiban sniffed and wiped his nose with his hand. "I can't the last time I cried."
"That's depressing." Prisma said with a dull smile. "As was that little show you had. I saw it all."
"Please stop being mean to him." Hado pouted, "it's not very heroic, Roku-kun."
"It is very heroic. He might be evil." 'Roku' tried to explain, giving an exaggerated shrug.
"Are you suspecting me of being a Villain because my parents are?" Kaikiban confronted him almost immediately.
"Are you?" The happy smile was immediately gone and a serious face gave him a sideways look.
"No." He said firmly.
"Good." The serious face was gone. "I don't care if you're the son of a Villain or the Emperor, I'll treat you the same. I can't say the same for the others at this event. Word of warning..." The first years began to pay attention, almost all of them were in the perpendicular rows opposite each other at the front. "The two best of Shiketsu are not to be messed with. One hates your guts already, purely based on your family. The other is... interesting."
"Why would someone hate me without knowing me?"
"That's her problem." Roku gave a smile.
"Hey, hey," Hado tapped Kaikiban on the shoulder from behind. "You don't want to be talking with Roku-kun. He's a clinical psychopath. There's a seat beside me free if you want to move, which I suggest you do. No offence or anything, Roku-kun." Kaikiban did unclip himself and moved into the first row next to her and clipped himself in. It was then that he realised they were moving.
"When did I get here?" He asked.
"You were dazed for thirty minutes." Yaoyorozu informed him. "You walked on though and sat beside him."
"I need to sleep on this. I'm not waking up until we arrive." A decision was made and Kaikiban was indeed asleep in seconds.
"I wish I could do that." Amajiki managed to say from the back of the bus.
"DO YOU WANT A SNICKERS NOW?" Andy asked him, the large, literally spherical, robotic third year was next to him. He opened his rucksack to reveal a variety of chocolate bars. There were also cans of motor oil.
"Maybe..." He took one and unwrapped it. "How do they talk so easily? Don't they realise that people are nightmares to deal with?"
"I DO NOT GET WHAT YOU MEAN. BUT AS YOUR FRIEND I WILL OFFER YOU COMFORT. ENGAGING LAP PILLOW PROTOCOL." Andy patted his lap.
"Are you actually a robot?" Tokoyami asked curiously, he was next to Onikage, the edgy second year.
"NO. I ONLY LOOK LIKE ONE. AND OPERATE LIKE ONE. AND TALK LIKE ONE. BUT I AM HUMAN. I AM IN MY HUMANOID FORM AT THE MOMENT, DO YOU WANT TO SEE MY 'SPHERE' FORM?"
"I am good, thank you." Bird head rejected the offer.
"You're like me." The second year across the aisle poked him, flexing his bird feet.
"You are also a bird."
"A corvid to be exact. Like a crow or raven."
"I am... a blackbird."
"I am... also a black bird."
"And I am a devil!" Dark Shadow popped out of Tomoyami's abdomen unannounced with his one liner.
"I am a skeleton." Lorde Nito one row in front turned his skull three-sixty back at them.
"I'm a living warcrime!" Housei also turned around, showing off her gatling gun forearms.
"I AM DRIVING A BUS!" Present Mic yelled back... over the sound of the mechanical noises.
"Please pay attention to the road!" Iida hit him with the air chop.
"Why are they all so loud?" Amajiki muttered.
"I DO NOT KNOW. DO YOU WANT ANOTHER SNICKERS?"
"I'm good."
"I'll have one!" Housei said spritely, her arms turned back to normal and received the treat. "I sure am glad I don't have motion sickness."
"UNLIKE TSUTSUMI-CHAN." Andy said, his robotic voice didn't make things very subtle.
"Fuck you, Andy!" The purple haired student stuck her hand over her head and flipped him off.
"Language, Tsutsumi-chan!" Present Mic feigned shock and horror; but he didn't really care if they swore or not, he was quite the prolific swearer himself when outside of school.
"HOW DID SHE HEAR ME?"
"I don't know." Kinoko shrugged.
"An open planned bus like this is the reason." Iida air chopped again.
"Do you know the definition of sarcasm?" Roku asked kindly.
"I think I had a sarcasm once." Present Mic ed in. There was a mixture of exaggerated reactions to that.
"Yes I know the definition of sarcasm." Iida waved off the teacher.
"Sure, Iida-kun." Kinoko said with lethal sarcasm. The reptilian second year hissed.
"Keh heh heh. I'm sure he does." He winked at the little mushroom girl.
"How long until we get there?" Tsutsumi asked, looking a little green.
"We literally just started driving half an hour ago. We're going across the country, so another five and a half hours?" Mic told her, the satnav was going strong.
"In three hundred meters, turn left." It went.
"Ugh... I'm not going to make it." Purple hair held her stomach.
"Do you need any medicine?" Yaoyorozu asked, being the person next to her on one of the perpendicular rows.
"You have some? I forgot to take mine today..."
"Of course I have some, a Hero has to be ready for anything." She rolled her sleeve up to expose her bare skin. "Scopolamine patches or antihistamine meclizine?"
"Whichever's better."
"Antihistamine meclizine then. I don't have a medical licence for the patch." The rich girl's arm started to crack and sparkle slightly, before a tube of tablets formed. She gave them to her senior.
"Thanks..." Popping one in her mouth, she managed to swallow it. "Now I just have to sit through an hour more of this. Great."
"Couldn't you find your own earlier?" Roku smiled.
"I forgot. And I was under the impression that it wouldn't be so far. I was wrong."
"Since we're going to be on the road for a while, why don't we sing some songs?" The escort called back to them slightly, eyes glued to the road.
"Yeah!" Wooly Third Year celebrated, sat between Iida and Roku at the front.
"I got one!" Housei announced, pulling out her phone.
"So do I." Lorde stated.
"We know which one you'll pick." The second year that looked like a rhinoceros beetle said timidly.
"Here it is." Housei turned it on and maxed out the volume.
"Not Despacito Two." Itsuka said immediately. "I get this enough from my class."
"C'mon, Suki. You like it really." Kinoko bumped her shoulder.
"I really don't." Yaoyorozu patter her other shoulder as the 1-B Class President sighed.
"If bread in French is '^pain^', then I own a fucking bakery." Kaikiban said out of nowhere. Lorde and Bird Feet devolved into hellish laughter.
"I thought you were asleep." Hado pouted, not liking that she'd been tricked.
"I was."
"For two minutes." Itsuka said.
"I am a very fast sleeper."
"Mood." Wooly nodded. "Actually no, I wish I could get to sleep. Housei-chan, turn that rubbish off."
"Ok." The trashy song was silenced. "Now what?"
"Timeskip." Onikage said dryly.
/-/
The bus stopped five and a half hours later at the sight. There were other buses in the car park. There seemed to be an apartment block of sorts a hundred meters or so away.
"Well, it's not Shiketsu, it's just near enough though." Present Mic announced to them.
"Thank Budda." Tsutsumi found a nearby bin and prompty threw up in it.
"Wow, she held that in the whole trip. I think that's a record." Roku said happily.
"She was still suffering even after I tried to help?" Yaoyorozu said quietly, somewhat upset.
"Oh, her motion sickness is awful." Hado explained. "We can't do anything outside of a two mile radius of U.A. because she can't take transport easily.
"Can we move on from my motion sickness please?"
"Yes, we should. It's gross." Their teacher agreed.
"Mic-sensei, why did we come here instead of the actual school?" Housei asked curiously.
"Because the event was never going to be hosted at Shiketsu." Onikage said proudly. "My guess is that Shiketsu is another thirty minutes away. So everyone that's partaking stay in the same place."
"As he says." Mic nodded. "But I know as much as you lot. We're probably being waited upon, so let's go!" They started making their way towards the building.
"Ooo! I'm excited! Is anyone else excited?" Hado asked everyone, turning her head to look at everything.
"No..." Amajiki muttered.
"As far as I'm aware, you're all my enemies in this until I know otherwise." Kaikiban said matter of factly.
"Yeah, I guess we should get that into our heads." Itsuka nodded.
"FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC. SO HOW ABOUT WE STAY FRIENDS BEFORE WE FIGHT?" Andy suggested.
"Mans watches My Little Pony. Is that still going?" Bird feet asked the rest of them.
"The same way Fortnite and Monkey Ball are, yes." Iida nodded curtly.
"I playing Fortnite Four when it came out... twenty five years ago." Present Mic said proudly.
"How old were you when that came out?" Housei asked.
"Six."
"That's a little young to be playing a violent videogame, Mic-sensei." Lorde took his head off and began to polish his skull.
"You're a little young to be bullying me about it."
"Bullying is banter." Reptile hissed as Mic stopped with an expression, the students ed him.
"Hey! I'm the one escorting you!" He ran quickly to get back into the front.
"What? Escorting us five feet?" Roku put his hands behind his head in a relaxed pose, seemingly not taking in anything.
"W-well, we're here now." The entered through the double set of doors. Greeting them was like a hotel room lobby.
"How unassuming..." Yaoyorozu commented wistfully. A robot of some sort approached them. It was silver and had two glowing pieces for eyes.
"Welcome, students of U.A.. I hope the bus ride here was pleasant." It said.
"Haha. No." Tsutsumi shivered.
"It doesn't sound like the robots we have at U.A.. It actually has a range of vocals." Komori made a note of that.
"That is because Shiketsu West creates some of the most advanced androids in Japan. I am one such. Please, follow me." The Butler Robot turned and began to move in stride. They followed it through the building. "Here we have the dining hall." It showed them a large, fancy looking room, each table had three seats. "Meals are at seven. That gives you a couple of hours to settle in. When dinner happens, you will find out who you are with by which table you sit at, it is preassigned."
"Oh. So much for having Onikage-kun team up with Nejire-chan and Amajiki-kun and wipe the floor with them." Housei shrugged casually.
"Why not me?" Roku rose an eyebrow. "Haven't you heard that I'm Big Three level."
"That's self-proclaimed." Wooly Third Year told the lower years and Roku. "You're good, don't get me wrong, I just think you're not Nejire or Amajiki levels."
"Then I'll just have to show you in the next few days." The 'psychopath' played it off casually.
"I think he's very strong." Hado stood up for him. "He has got my Quirk after all. Amajiki-kun's too."
"What is your Quirk?" Komori cocked her head.
"I'm not going to say to my enemy." He laughed.
"Please, we are on a tight schedule." Robot told them, walking off without waiting for them. They heard chatter and the robot showed them another big room. "This is the Common Room. Where you participants can gather and socialise." They went on and up some stairs. And more stairs. Like, five floors.
"I AM GLAD I TOOK MY LEGS OUT. I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT UP OTHERWISE." Andy said cautiously. They were led to a room. Inside was a lounge of sorts.
"This is the U.A. lounge. Every school has one here. In here you have your accommodations," Robot pointed at two doors either side of the lounge. "One for males, one for females. It is shared rooms. One for each sex."
"So it's like a slumber party?!" Hado and Housei said in sync.
"I hate sleeping around others." Kaikiban muttered.
"Mood." Wooly nodded.
"You had no trouble sleeping with Hado-senpai on the bus." Komori said.
"I will leave you all to it." Robot interrupted their conversation and left. At that, the U.A. students scattered.
"I did what?" Kai cocked his head, not understanding.
"You fell asleep next to Hado-senpai, it was really cute! I even took a picture!" She showed it to him, Hado had her head resting on his shoulder and he was resting his head on hers.
"Delete this." He smiled menacingly.
"I could, but I've already sent it to the entire class. Setsuna approves of it so, no need to worry." Komori gave him a smile back.
"I THINK YOU ARE ABOUT TO DIE." Andy monotoned.
"Yup, me too." She nodded. Kaikiban sighed.
"If Setsuna's fine with it, then I guess I am too." He decided with a further huff. "I'm going to the guys' room."
"AGREED."
"Don't let Hado-senpai see you~" Komori was really pushing her luck with his leniency.
"Hey hey! Guys!" Hado called to them, she was dressed in a grey and gold shirt. The English letters 'XXV' were on her left chest. "Our provided outfits all have a number and our name on." She twirled around, showing them the kanji for 'Hado Nejire', the letters were under it also.
"What do the letters mean?" Kaikiban asked them.
"Twenty-five." Iida stated.
"You don't know Roman numerals?" Komori gave him a cheeky grin.
"I'm sorry that my knowledge for an ancient counting method is not on point." He deadpanned. "I'm going now." Entering the mens' bedroom, he saw eleven provided beds. On each one was a shirt, similar to the one Hado had shown off, a pair of tros, socks and shoes. In addition to a cap with 'U.A.' on the front. They all held the grey and gold colour scheme. He looked for his bed and found it next to a window. His name was on the back, as were the Roman numerals 'XXV'.
^Interesting.^ He thought, deciding to remove his shirt as he felt a bit hot, and will continue to feel hot as the room would grow stuffy when eleven teenage boys are gathered in there to sleep.
^Definitely.^ Kakumeiso spoke to him.
^I have a question.^
^Go on.^
^Was what we were shown real?^
^When we shook Roku-senpai's hand? The parts with us playing with Mum were, and with Chitose. After that I have no clue.^ She informed him.
^Thanks for nothing.^
^Oi, I don't have photographic memory. I don't everything from before that accident. Or much of what you experienced early in life.^ Mei was probably pouting in their mind palace.
^Great.^
/-/
And the two hours ed and it was apparently time to go down to the dining room. Everyone had been told to dress up in their provided outfits, which were surprisingly well fitting and comfortable. It would be a shame when Kaikiban ripped it to pieces in a fight for nudity's sake. The dining room was filling slowly as people filed in, he ed Hado at the 'XXV' table.
"Why don't they just use normal numbers?" He took his cap off and undid his ponytail, his hair settling between his neck and shoulders.
"I hear it's commonly used in Europe." Hado smiled. "But then again, why would a Japanese school use something like this for an event of this scale?"
"To make things seem a bit more... fancy." Kai settled on the word.
"Say, hey, we're on the same team, right? We're both sat at this table with matching numbers, and there's only one place left to sit. Plus the robot told us that, so I guess I'm just digging a bit deeper." The curious third year started incessantly talking, he listened because he wasn't about to be rude to his teammate. "This means we're friends now, right? You said anyone not on your team's your enemy."
"I guess we are friends."
"Great! Who do you think we'll be up against first?" She looked around the room with a smile. He did the same.
"I'm unsure. Outside of U.A. I only know a few of the Quirks the people here have. Her, for example." He nodded to a girl with white hair, she was next to Lorde and a boy with black hair. "She's my brother's girlfriend."
"Oh! She's wearing the Shiketsu version of the outfits. Does your brother go to Shiketsu?" Hado turned to look at him. There were less people coming in now.
"Indeed. But he's not here, I would guess the fact that he's in a relationship would be it, but she's here. So maybe there're two other candidates better than him. I can guess one though."
"That better be me." Jessica said as she walked past. The letters 'XXVIII' were on her black shirt.
"You know it." Kaikiban returned the fist bump she offered before she went over to her table.
"Was that her?"
"Yes." He nodded. People were finally settling down and a girl took her seat with them. She had braided sangria red hair down to her shoulder blades and spring-green eyes. Donning her was a white and blue variation of the provided uniforms.
"Hello, are you Team Twenty Five?" She asked with curtsey.
"Is that what this says?" Kaikiban looked to the number, he didn't particularly care about it though.
"Yes we are! Hi! I'm Hado Nejire and this is my junior, Genyu Kaikiban!" Hado quickly introduced the pair of them to their new teammates. "Both from U.A."
"I am Katameru Bukigura. It is a pleasure to meet you." She put a hand to her chest and bowed slightly.
"Yay! A new friend!" Hado celebrated by taking Katameru's hand in hers and leaned towards her. "We need nicknames for each other for this. Since we're friends and allies. But only we can use them. Everyone else is an enemy." She looked to Kaikiban.
"What are you looking to me for? I'm both of yours' junior." He tucked his chair in and put his arms on the table.
"But nicknames! C'mon!" Hado let go of their new friend and grasped a hold of his arm. "How about Yuyu?"
"Okay, Nejre." Was his quick response, getting a gasp from the girl.
"I don't think you can say that." She put a hand to her mouth before breaking out into a smile.
"Hado-senpai works fine." Kaikiban told her.
"I don't mind what you call me." Katameru spoke up.
"Meru-chan it is!" Hado quickly turned her attention back to her. "Hey, what's your Quirk?"
"It is called 'Munitions Factory'. It allows me to create objects out of accumulated carbon." A shining white glow came from her hand and an opaque crystalline bar formed. "I can control the toughness and hardness when creating them, the less durable they are, and the smaller they are, the less is used."
"Mine's called 'Adaptation'. I breathe oxygen and it stimulates a chemical reaction in my cells, allowing me to change them into anything biological; so long as I know the make up." He explained, steam rose from him right hand as he changed its colour.
"I turn my stamina into energy and throw it at people!" Hado beamed, giving a simplistic view on her Quirk.
"Which school are you from?" Kai asked curtly, trying to make small talk so that Hado wouldn't scare their new 'friend' away.
"Seiai Academy."
^Oh, she's a lesbian.^ Mei said rudely into his ear.
^Mei, shut the hell up.^ He frowned.
"Who else came with you here?" Hado continued on as they didn't see his visible reaction to his mental extra.
"A few others." Katameru pointed to other girls around the room, each dressed in the same white and blue outfit; and they were all wearing the cap. The last one she pointed to was sat at a table with Yaoyorozu and a dark skinned boy with grey and yellow hair. That girl looked their way and gave her schoolmate one of those upper-class waves. A monocle donned her left eye.
"You know her then?" Kai looked around, channelling his inner Atsuki and hoped that food would be coming out soon.
"Top of the class, somewhat stuck up. Has a harem of which she has no interest in any of them." She noted a few things off. "She was worse up until September where she was really humbled by the girl next to her. Intelli Saiko, that's her name, her Quirk makes her smarter when she drinks tea and closes her eyes."
"Let's save the gossip until tonight, slumber parties have to have gossip. But in the meantime, should we organise a team thing or what?" Hado cocked her head as she asked them. "We can make friendship bracelets!"
"You can male those with a napkin?" The non-U.A. girl asked.
"I can make them, give me your forearm." Kai held his and out and took Hado's. "This will get a bit warm." Steam rose from his hands as he cupped her arm.
"That is a bit warm and humid." She giggled, staring in awe at what he put around her wrist; it was a bone bracelet with blue amber stuck within. "No way! Thank you! Meru-chan! You take one too!"
"O-okay?" She gave him her own forearms and he did the same thing. "Thank you?"
"Now we're besties!" The Big Three member cheered. Kaikiban didn't need to grab his own forearm to make one.
"It can be unclipped, so no need to worry about being eternally trapped by it." He demonstrated. "Now, when do we eat."
"Aye-up ladies. The name's Rengoku Vandham." Yaoyorozu was sat at her table, table 'V' with a girl she has history with and whatever the heck the boy was supposed to be. "Glad to be workin wid'cha."
"Yaoyorozu Momo." She said uncertain.
"I am Intelli Saiko." The girl next to her introduced herself.
"Excellent, now we're allies."
"You have quite the way with your words." Intelli commented nicely, Yaoyorozu saw some humility in her now.
"Thank ya. Second year of Shiketsu right 'ere. I don't need ya to tell me where the pair of you are from. I can tell by the outfits." Rengoku stated.
^This boy is from Shiketsu West? I didn't see him at the Provisional Licence Exam. I wonder which class he's in.^ She thought.
"Well, it will be nice to work with you. The pair of you seem like you can handle yourselves, so I am sure we will be fine." Intelli commented. "Both of you are from prestigious schools and are good enough to be here."
"You also made it here." Yaoyorozu responded with her own comment. "Do not count yourself out. You are very much good enough."
"Let's move past who's good and who's not. You'll be compared to everyone else 'ere anyway; all of whom are top contenders. Be proud you're already 'ere." Their 'manly' ally told them. "It's meant to be grub time. Where's all the food?"
^What a meat-head.^ Intelli thought, being somewhere between amused and disgusted by him.
"I'm sure it will arrive shortly." Someone put a hand on Rengoku's shoulder. The two girls were surprised to see who was standing there.
"Juuigen." He gave him a rough smile.
"Juuigen?" Yaoyorozu said concerned. "As in Prince Juuigen of Japan?"
"The one and only." The man in question gave them a casual smile. "Quite the team you've got here, Vandham. You better not disappoint, especially after all the training I gave you."
"I'm gonna tear that smug smile from your face, Imperial Highness." Was the junior's immediate reaction.
"Good. I look forward to it." With that, the Prince left as quickly as he'd entered sat down at his table, with Komori and a tired looking boy.
"I didn't know that a Prince of Japan went here." Intelli put a hand to her mouth out of manners.
"One of the best 'ere, 'elped orchestrate the event too. Alongside Kaizou-senpai, Kouhei-chan and Mora-kun." He told them, Intelli happened to glance around the room and spotted one of the other people there pointing at her for a moment. She offered a polite wave to her.
"You have changed a fair bit since when I last saw you. You seem less arrogant now." Yaoyorozu stated, making more personal conversation.
"Well, after a certain someone showed me a flaw in my perfect plan and got me disqualified, I decided to reflect slightly. I am not wholly changed dear. I am still me." She said proudly. "And with our combined smarts, we shall have quite the shot at winning this, so long as we play it safe."
"Playing it safe is boring. My own Quirk disagrees on a conceptual level. Manipulating fire isn't safe. Tell me where, when and who to attack, and I'll do as ya ladies please." Rengoku folded his arms. "And we've almost been here seven minutes. When're we getting fed?"
"Patience is a virtue." Yaoyorozu stated.
"Since you are from U.A., Yaoyorozu-san, do you think you can give me that girl's number?" Intelli nodded towards the table she just waved to.
"Hado-senpai?"
"Is that the black and white haired one?"
"...You mean Genyu...kun?"
"She's a boy?" She said surprised. "Is it an identity thing?"
"No. He has a penis. Do not ask how I know that, we have some oddballs in my year."
"I don't wanna pry." Rengoku leant back and folded his arms.
"Who knew that boys could be so pretty? It is no deterrent though, could you provide it to me?" Intelli asked, putting a hand to her chin in that posh style.
"I have an idea." Their male ally stated. "Why not ask him yourself?"
"What? Why would I want to do that? If I do I could come across as desperate."
"It's more desperate for someone else to get it for you." Yaoyorozu gave her two-piece. "And Genyu-kun has a girlfriend, whom I am quite good friends with."
"Then I shall just try and become good acquaintances with him." The monocle-totting girl said defiantly.
"It seems like everyone is quieting down now." Yaomomo stated, and indeed, people had spotted the tusked man taking centre stage in the room. A microphone in hand. Once the room had gone silent, he began to speak.
"Good evening, first, second and third year. I am Pork, from the Public Safety Commission. I shall be the presenter for the event that will transpire. Now, I am sure you are all asking where your food is?" There were 'yes's from the crowd, Rengoku included. "Well, so am I." There were a few laughs. "You'll be eating after I give this little talk. Tomorrow, the event begins. The people you see at your tables are your teammates for the next few days. So everyone else is your rival. The first round will begin at four in the afternoon, so that people can watch it televised; which is also why I'm here. A televised event such as this needs a bit of overseeing; I am sure you all understand. While the actual rules of the event will be gone over tomorrow, the bracket of which you will be competing will be done here and now."
A screen blared to life, showing off numbers one through thirty-two.
"Each of you has been assigned a Roman numeral for your team, please asks someone which you have if you are confused. And first things first..." the screen began to shuffle the numbers around and into a bracket style. It was not in numerical order. "Now we have the first set of matches. Team Seven versus Team Thirty."
"That's Kendo-chan against Lorde-kun." Yaoyorozu commented.
"And Uchū-chan." Rengoku noted. "But look at who we're up against. Team Five and Team Sixteen. I'm sure we're gonna win."
"For those of you still talking, shut up." Pork instructed. "I'm not done. The first two rounds will be going on tomorrow. So you thirty two teams will be down to eight. Quartered in the first day, shocking, I know. It definitely raises the stakes."
^It really does.^ Kendo thought to herself, her own team seemed like they didn't mind the raised states though.
"With me by your side, we shall make it past the first day without any issue." Juuigen told Komori and the timid guy.
"Yeah! I bet we're winning this!" Komori said, sounding quite pumped.
"Hopefully." Timid guy mumbled.

After Pork had finished up his spiel, they did get to eat. But nothing new happened. After which people began going their separate ways, but Hado had to drag Kaikiban and Katameru over to her fellow Big Three member, Amajiki.
"Hey, hey, Amajiki-kun!" She called over to him, literally dragging her allies. "Who did you get paired with."
"Me." Roku was sat floating in the air, his ethereal book was hovering open beside him.
"Oh, the psychopath." Hado shrugged. "Who else?!"
"Someone from Shiketsu." Amajiki stated, "she's way too scary. It makes me want to go home." Hado coo'd at him as she patted his back.
"Oh, c'mon. You're like this with everyone who's a bit loud. How bad can she be?"
"It's not nice to talk about someone behind their back." A feminine voice told them. They looked over and a girl with dark green hair and sharp patterns along her body. Kaikiban's better senses were basically screaming at him to get away, something was wrong about her.
"They were talking about how scary you are, Maki." Roku bailed on them, not deterring from his causal smile.
"Do I scare you." She looked to them.
"Yes." Kaikiban said curtly.
^Nyx.^ Kaizou's vision went dark at the edges and a swirling dark green mass took shape beside her, only being known by her.
^Yes? Lady Maki?^ A soft feminine voice came from it.
^Give me the run down on them.^ Kaizou gave the command.
^Left to right. Genyu Kaikiban. Rank S. Hado Nejire. Rank S. Katameru Bukigura. Rank A.^ Nyx informed her.
^Interesting.^ "You, boy." She pointed down at Kaikiban. She was the tallest amongst them, at likely five-eleven.
"Me?"
"You are Genyu Moroshi's younger brother."
"I am."
"I am hoping you're less of a disappointment than he is." The cruel words made him feel some form of anger. The baseless dislike she had towards Moroshi was off putting.
"And what if I'm not?" Kaikiban kept his voice steady.
"Then you'll be second in of Heroism. Only after your brother. Your parents certainly don't seem like the heroic kind."
^Wow, she went there.^ Roku thought bemused.
"Genyu-kun isn't what you say." Hado stuck up for him immediately, sensing that Kaikiban was about to snap. "He's a cool guy! I bet you're just jealous about his pretty looks!"
"It's hideous to see beauty like that on him."
"Alright. I'm choosing violence." Kaikiban said completely evenly.
"We're in the same side of the bracket. Wait until then." Kaizou demanded, every fibre of his being was being sent into overdrive; his normally suppressed fight or flight response was going haywire. There was something terribly wrong with the woman talking down to him. He didn't care much about what she was saying about his parents, but it was something else. There was something fundamentally wrong with her, from what he could sense at least. What it was was shortly answered.
"Lady Maki. Please refrain from bullying younger students." A calm, woman's voice coo'd out of nowhere; and a dark green mass of darkness billowed from Kaizou's patterned arms and face, gathering behind her and into the form of a tall, pale woman. A dark green ballroom dress covered her body and a pair of horns stuck out of her forehead. "I apologise for how my Lady has acted."
^Oh, shit. She's got a spirit made of pure darkness living inside of her.^ Kakumeiso said, actually sounding disturbed. Even by Quirk standards, they were unnatural.
"I'm not. Just letting him know exactly what I think of him." Kaizou folded her arms. "I'll be waiting, boy." She left, leaving the spirit to look between her and the rest of them, seemingly wishing to talk to them, but resorted to a bow before turning into a ball of darkness and returning to her mistress.
"See what I mean?" Amajiki shuddered slightly, before putting his head against the nearest table. "I wanna go home."
"Yeah... she's scary alright. There's something fundamentally wrong to me, it goes against nature." Kaikiban also shuddered, still feeling apprehensive.
"That's just having a Quirk." Roku said lazily. "And what did I say about one of them hating you?"
"I can see that it was the truth."
"I'm gonna go, I'm sure my friends are wondering where I am." Katameru said, pointing away before going.
"Hang on!" Hado raced after her. "We're going to have a slumber party!!!"
"I did not agree to that, and I want to sleep." Kai bid them farewell before leaving.
"Genyu-kun!!! Slumber Party!!!"

*One slumber party later...*
It was three-fifty-five the next day, and the participants were taking seats in a sheltered stand, which thankfully had some heating. The people at Shiketsu West seemed to think it a good idea to host the tournament in the middle of winter. The students of U.A. that weren't participating in the fight decided that no, they will not sit together because there had been a unanimous decision that they were all, in fact, enemies. So Kai sat with Hado. The other schools didn't seem to be doing this and a girl from Seiai Academy took a seat next to him, as the rest of those from there sat along the row.
"Do you want me to tell you about Lorde-kun?" Hado poked him in the shoulder. "He's a very interesting guy! He can control the bones he creates from that thick mist stuff with his mind. He's a candidate for next year's Big Three, you know?"
"Itsuka has her work cut out then, but I'm sure she'll do fine." He stated. "But on top of Lorde-senpai, she's also got Uchū-senpai to deal with. I've heard horror stories from the rest of my class about her strength... and stuff from Moroshi that I don't want to picture."
"She almost killed all of us in the Provisional License Exam!" Komori turned around in the row below them.
"You've mentioned your brother a couple of times now. Tell me about him sometime. I don't have any siblings, so I can't have any deep heart-to-hearts with them." Hado made a gasping noise and looked to him with abundant excitement. "I know! How about I be your 'Big Sister'?! Call me 'Big Sis'!"
^Do it, Kaikiban. How could you reject Big Sis Nejire? She's fucking adorable.^ Kakumeiso whispered to him, because she was literally inside his mind, he could hear her loud and clear. ^I'm calling her 'Big Sis' either way.^
"Sure?"
"Yay! You'll have to introduce me to our other brother." 'Big Sis Nejire' said gleefully.
"Sure? A-anyhow, 'Big Sis', Uchū-senpai could pull off a win for them. I've seen her transport multiple people halfway across Japan. So I want Itsuka to win, but my moneys on Lorde-senpai and Uchū-senapi."
"They sound like a force to be reckoned with." The other girl next to him spoke up, he looked to her and he took note of the monocle; it was the same girl that was on Yaoyorozu's team.
"Both sides look to be." He said. She looked like she wanted to say more but at that point, a loudspeaker blared to life.
"Hello, and welcome to the first and hopefully annual, Shiketsu National Invitational! I am your host, Pork and I'm with Radio Host, Teacher and Pro Hero, Present Mic!"
"YOOOOO!" Mic's voice also came over the loud speaker.
"Oh boy. This will be fun." Tokoyami deadpanned to himself somewhere in the crowd.
