♛ Personality ♛

Chiaki Kobayashi is a short kind girl, she always manages to make anyone happy no matter the circumstances. It’s often a joke that it’s her second quirk, She doesn’t like burdening people when she is sad because she would rather be seen as the person who is never affected by what life throws her way. But she trusts a handful of people she can vent to since smiling when she isn’t happy is emotionally exhausting.

She prefers to see all the good in the world and although some people call her naive for that she has her reasons, she knows that the world is an awful place and is filled with bad. But instead of looking at all the bad in the world she would much rather live the happiest life she can.

Even when it comes to hero work she tries to talk to the villain, because how she sees it as everyone has their own reasons behind what they do and for this mindset it makes sense why people call her naive. Often getting beaten before she decides to fight back, she’d rather know that she tries to talk sense into someone then not at all. When she does this people will yell at her saying stuff like

“Do you have a death wish!!?”

and

”Are you trying to get yourself killed!?”

But she never really cared, when it came to going out to do hero work she always has to be partnered up with someone or have someone nearby to rush in if her ignorance nearly gets her killed. But due to her loving and tenderness everyone wants to keep her safe, since she’s always there whether they need a should to cry on or to vent. She never judges and wants you to vent, he wants to be there for everyone and be loved by everyone, because she just wants everyone to be as happy as she is

♛ Appearance ♛

『 Hair 』

Chiaki has sandy blonde hair that fades into a lavender purple, put up in a high spikey ponytail

『 Eyes 』

The sclera, also known as the white of the eye, is a sunny yellow colour. While her Iris is a bright amethyst purple that seems to sparkle.

『 Skin 』

Chiaki has a Pale Ivory skin tone with patches of purple on her knees down, elbows down, shoulders and on her face. And purple elf like ears

『 Extra 』

Chiaki’s physical appearance is also affected by her quirk which you can tell by her spikey body, purple patches of skin and her eyes.

She has a spikey purple tail that starts the same colour as the patches of purple on her skin and fades into a lighter purple turning into a light blue at the end, she also has spikes under her eyes and cheeks and also has some on her arms.

And finally she has a spikey crown that kind of looks like a headpiece but is just part of her body.

♛ Interests ♛

『 Likes 』

•Hugs

Now I know this is an odd one to have on the list but Chiaki loves to be held in someone’s arms. And her being spikey and all, hugs mean a lot to her. In her childhood she was very clumsy and often would accidentally poke people with her spikes to the point people avoided her to not her harmed, although this saddened her she found a way around it. So when she went to school the teacher would put styrofoam balls on her spikes so she could still interact with the kids since they didn’t want her growing up hating her quirk just because she couldn’t control it yet.

So having someone willingly hug her always would make her day

•Chillies/ anything spicy

Now this is what unsettles a lot of people, she can eat a chilli like it’s nothing, she bites straight into it like it’s an apple and seem to be perfectly fine. To her eating chillies is like a eating a bag of chips, you can find her with a jar of them just eating them she doesn’t understand why people turn them down when she offers someone one

•Super Smash Bros

Chiaki LOVES video games, but her favourite is Super Smash Bros. Because she can play it with all her friends, to her multiplayer games are the best games. With her main being Isabelle since she found her the cutest

•Hot chocolate

Now Chiaki’s favourite drink is hot chocolate, she’ll always top it of with some whipped cream with either sprinkles or shredded chocolate on top (sometimes both)

『 Dislikes 』

•Negativity

Now she can’t stand this, she doesn’t blame people who are going through a rough time and feeling emotional and those people she is always there for is concerned for their wellbeing. But when people outright make everyone negative or make such depressing jokes for the hell of it, that angers her. And she hates feeling that way, since all she wants it to be happy and make everyone else happy, and she it’s harder for her to do that when she’s unhappy

•Smoking

Now Chiaki doesn’t hate people who smoke, she just hates it when they smoke. It has such an awful when and you can always tell by someone’s breathe if they have smoked. Not only that it’s so bad for your health, she is more concerned for people who smoke since of the medical effects of it

•Sparkling water

Chiaki will never again drink sparkling water, the first time she had some was when she was a kid and couldn’t stand it and years later she tried it again thinking maybe her tastes have changed... nope, still awful. The only way she can describe the drink is

”It’s like drinking TV static!”

『 Fear(s) 』

•Thunder storms

Now it’s obviously not the rain she’s afraid of, it’s the loud “BAMS” that scare her, during stormy weather you’ll find her somewhere in the dorm trembling under a blanket, so make sure you hug her when you find her. It’ll calm her down a bit

•Letting someone down

Chiaki is always looking out for everyone, so her main worry is letting someone that has put their trust in her down. So she ends up exhausting herself because she seems to be unable to say “no” to someone that’s asking for help, so she ends up getting extremely exhausted

『 Good Habits 』

•Her tender way she speaks

She already has a gentle kind voice but she always speaks in a soft way, she was always raised to speak to people and treat people how you want to be treated. So she has always talked in this kind of way ever since a child

•Exercising

First thing Chiaki does when she wakes up in the morning is go for a jog, it gets her blood pumping and her awake and ready for a new day. And on the weekends after a jog she trains her quirk, just because there’s no school doesn’t mean she can’t better herself

『 Bad Habits 』

•Her belief that there’s good in everyone

As good as this seems, it’s a bad habit for a hero. If she keeps trying to talk sense into a villain she’ll end up getting herself or someone else seriously hurt or worse, killed

•Stress eating

When she gets stressed out you’ll be able to find her with a large jar of chillies and stuffing handfuls into her mouth, you can usually tell that she’s stressed when she’s doing this and her tails spikes will stick out more and it will twitch a bit

Spikey body

Through lots of training Chiaki is able to launch the spikes that are on her body, now these spikes cannot be steered through the air however, and the spikes take around 15 seconds to grow back and harden again.

『 Weaknesses/ drawbacks 』

If too many spikes are fired the will feel pain ranging from mild to major in that certain area of their body. Like Mineta they’ll also start bleeding (｡•́︿•̀｡)

Daishi Kobayashi

Father

Chiaki loves her father very much, he had quite a scary look to him because of his height. But he was actually a kind, gentle man. Daishi was tall, about 7’0 to be exact and had a very strong well built body, he had messy sandy blonde hair that faded into a basil green and butterscotch yellow coloured eyes and freckles all across his face and arms.

His quirk is like Wolverines, with retractable claws in his hands. But they could also come out of his arms. Daishi possesses a highly sarcastic and great sense of humor that never fails to put his family in a good mood, no matter what situation they’re in he can make a joke, which he always does for his wife due to her being an author and easily getting stressed out.

Chiaki ired this trait of her fathers, and although her sense of humour isn’t as godly as his she has her own way with making sure everyone is happy. She aims to be like her father, he was her hero and now she wants to be everyone else’s. When she was sent home to be home schooled due to her quirk going out of whack, he made sure that she loved her quirk and didn’t grow to hate it. He’d take her out in the backyard and train her, from a young age so she could control it. He made sure it was in a fun way, since he didn’t want to stress her out since she was only a child.

Hiro Kobayashi

Mother

Chiaki found all time with her mother quiet and peaceful, she loves her mother and everything she’s done for her. She has a gentle look to her but can be terrifying when angered, but that’s really hard to do. Unless you mess with her family. Hiro is a lot shorter than her husband, at about 5’7. She had a thin, petite body type, She had gorgeous straight lavender hair with small streaks of white in it and amethyst purple eyes.

Her quirk gave her a dragon like appearance, with wings, a tail and horns. These were a dark wine purple colour, Her quirk pretty much gave her the ability to fly, but she can create huge gusts of winds when flying. When her children were little and she was able to hold them in her arms, she’d take them out for flights and she always says that among all the sights, her childrens joyful smiles had to be the best part. When her and her husband were young and still dating there were times where they attempt to fly together which resulted in her crashing into a tree or something nearby. When the children were out they’d re-try it every now and then. But she’s to small to be able to hold him up

Chiaki loves her mother’s calm, quiet and loving personality. And being read bedtime stories by her were her favourite, because they were all unique, never the typical stories that children were read. They were all written by her, and the days she was sick she’d resting her head on her mother’s lap while her mother would soothingly run her fingers through her hair. The days after training with her father her mother would have already made a hot chocolate for her, for after training.

Kei Kobayashi

Older brother

Chiaki deeply ired her older brother, as a kid she always looked up to him. They always got into mischief when they were younger, he was the one that got her into chillies. Kei snuck the jar of chillies of the shelf and was originally trying to prank Chiaki but to his surprise she ended up asking for another with a spark in her eyes.

Now Kei, was basically a carbon copy of his father. Not look wise, but definitely personality wise. He had the same sense of humour and sarcasm. Although he can be a bit more sarcastic from time to time, He had his mother’s straight hair although it was a bit messy in some areas and he had his fathers Basil green hair. Hide eyes were dual coloured, with one being purple and the other being yellow.

Kei is extremely protective of Chiaki, when she was finally allowed to go to school he was constantly on her back about boys, with her as always reassuring him. Kei now attends college, due to him being quirkless and wanting to become a police officer. When Chiaki said she’d be a hero he wanted to be there for her in someway so being a police officer was how he wanted to do it, his parents were surprised how well he could take it. Being quirkless, there were days where he cried and even days he got angry and yelled at Chiaki for having a quirk. But thanks to his loving and ive parents and Chiaki, he grew to love himself for how he was. There is still some days where it affects him, but those days are rare now.

Junko and Masako Kobayashi

Twin younger sisters

Chiaki adores her little sisters, she loves those pure beans to death. Junko was more extroverted and bouncing of the walls and Masako was a bit more of an Introvert and clinging onto her mother hiding from other children. But the although their differences personality wise the twins stuck together, they had short white straight hair with strands of lavender in it and yellow eyes and have their fathers freckles across their faces and arms.

These two did eventually get their quirk, although they were later then their classmates to the point the family began to worry, especially Kei. He wasn’t envious, he desperately wanted them to get their quirk and was over the moon when they did. Their quirk was like their mothers, they had wings and horns, the wings were more of a green colour most likely from the fathers side. But they had retractable spikes in their wings, and wing enough force could shoot spiked mid flight. Which was a terrifying few months until they could manage their quirk a bit more at home, spikes were everywhere.

Junko tells Chiaki that when they grow up that they’ll become hero’s just like her, while Masako not wanting to be out in the spotlight yet still wanting to help tells Kei that she’ll become a police officer so she can help him as well. Her twin sisters are well aware of her fear of thunderstorms so whenever their was a storm they’d get a blanket and throw it over her, snuggling up with her saying that the storm can’t hurt her when they’re there. It always calmed her down since her sisters were so very precious to her

Camie Utsushimi

Friend

Chiaki considers Camie to be one of her best friends, although she does take a liking to people pretty easily. Her trendy slang and laidback attitude is one of the things she loves about Camie, she finds her easy to talk to and vent to whenever needed. She’s someone she actually hangs out with outside of school, going out to watch or movie, go to a cafe or just simply to sit and talk. It’s gotten to the point that whenever Chiaki is about to sneeze she already has different ways to avoid her spikes and doesn’t seem to mind if one manages to get her, even when Chiaki constantly apologises

Camie even uses her quirk to put Chiaki in a good mood and cheer her up if she ever seems sad, or just for fun which always gets the two laughing. Sometimes Camie will just give Chiaki a jar of chillies which is weird to everyone around them, but not to those who know them since they are her absolute favourite!.

Yui Himura

Friend

Chiaki. Loves. Yui, she is so smol and squishy, she just wants to hug her. Which is hard for Chiaki since she doesn’t was to accidentally poke anyone with her spikes. Yui and Chiaki are great friends, it took awhile for them to get close due to Yui being quite shy. Chiaki always makes sure her voice is quiet and gentle around Yui, since she knows how much Yui doesn’t like loud sounds. One thing they do is cuddle during thunderstorms, since loud sounds are no good for Yui and Chiaki is just afraid of them.

Chiaki is Yui’s voice of reason, whenever she goes on a tangent about the most unlikely scenarios resulting in Yui nearly getting herself into a nervous breakdown. Chiaki reassures her that those awful things won’t happen, and if things like them ever did happen that she’d be there for her. Which manages to calm down Yui, whenever those two hang out it’s usually in quiet locations like a library or a cafe.

Inasa Yoarashi

When it comes to Inasa, Chiaki barely knows him. Since she’s an upperclassman they don’t share any classes together, but they do bump into each other every so often. And Chiaki will it that she does ire his burning ion, and although he’s loud he is just bold and proud.

And she does get very concerned when he apologises, with his head bleeding in the end and all. Making her throw off her backpack and rummage through it finding anything for him to press against it, asking him to be careful. She doesn’t want to be the reason behind anyone’s injuries and makes sure he’s okay all the time. But Chiaki genuinely finds Inasa to be a funny and great guy, and that she isn’t afraid to it.

♛ Past ♛

Chiaki grew up in a loving home, with her mother, father, older brother and twin sisters. Her older brother was about seven when she was born and she was twelve when her twin sisters were born. Making her older brother 24 and her twin sisters 5 in the present.

She had to be taken out of preschool after awhile when her quirk had manifested, she had incidents where she’d accidentally prick people and whenever she sneezed would end up shooting out spikes across the classroom. So she was homeschooled for quite awhile until she had gotten better control of her quirk.

During that time she would always watching television and seeing news reports of villains either robbing places or harming people, but a hero would always turn up and save the day and that was something she ired. She’d run around the house playing hero with her older brother often switching roles, some days he’d be the villain and she’d be the hero and other days he’d be the hero and she’d be the villain but the hero always won, since good people always win... well that’s what they told each other. One day a news report had broke her heart, a villain that had robbed many banks and stole thousands confessed that he was doing it because someone was holding his wife and children hostage and she was given a new perspective on villains.

She had never thought to herself “why” villains do the things they do, sometimes they do things because they take matters into their own hands and end up making really big mistakes. That was when she decided that she’s become a hero, Chiaki feels the need to help everyone, even villains, sometimes you need to be saved from yourself and for someone to stop you before you do something that you’ll regret.

That was the problem with Chiaki, she was naive and ignorant. She believed there was good in everyone and that they just need a helping hand, when she was finally able to stop homeschooling and go to middle school whenever she was bullied she’d still try lend a hand to them and continue to treat them so nicely, as if they just didn’t even bully her. Eventually they stopped since she didn’t give the reaction they wanted.

Years later she chose to attend Shiketsu since it was closer to where she lived, she originally wanted to UA since it was the number 1 Hero school. But still was very happy. The moment she put on that uniform and stepped into Shiketsu she felt the excitement rushing through her blood, this was it, this was the beginning of becoming a great hero. Years of training and getting her quirk under control led up all to this moment.
