I’ve been having some fun drawing different dog breeds, and I can’t quite figure out what breed to base Charlie’s silhouette on since I want to draw him next! I tried to get some silhouette images of Charlie the other day to help figure it out but it looks like I need to get someone else to help so I can get a better “stack” of him (in quotes since he’s a mutt).
I’m thinking of trying a Portuguese Water Dog (PWD) next, and possibly using that as a base, although I do want to draw it in a lion cut which includes a clean face.. but I rarely clip Charlie’s face short (I usually keep it fluffy unless I completely shave him down). Otherwise I tend to clip Charlie pretty similar to a PWD. I usually keep his fur around an inch long all across his body, minus his tail which I trim up and leave the end of it long.
I guess we’ll see how it goes!
