The dog show was a HOT MESS. Porky was not working with me and was completely checked out. We have a lot of work to do around distractions and big atmospheres. These were the lowest Obedience scores we've ever gotten.

The rabbit barn STEPPED UP their game this year! This was the most competitive Showmanship we've had in years. 6 of the Senior Teen Showman being ARBA breeders.

We had younger kids with the same scores as sr teens going into final drive as well. It was TIGHT.

I also took BOB and BOSB Any Other 6 Class (New Zealand), BOB Jersey Wooly, and BOSB Any Other 4 Class (English Spot)

As well as Chip taking BIS!

This was an amazing group of people and tons of fun! The show moved SO smoothly and wasn't drawn out alllll day like in years past. It's still tiring but so fulfilling. Even if the feeder steer, I got beat the crap out me and the pig just wanted to go back to the barn. 🙃

Out of 12 contestants I placed:

6th in Goat (surprising /neg)

This put me 2nd overall! The highest I've ever placed. I wanted that trophy, badly. But I'm so proud of how I placed. I REALLY need work on swine. I'm tempted to raise and show one next year.

Sunday, I did have to say goodbye to Tino :heart: . It's the hard part of showing market stock. He was the happiest guy and lived his best life. I wish the ending could have been different.. but he had a purpose to fulfill.

Monday, I went to Ingham County fair to watch Naomi and her gorgeous steers! I sadly missed her showing Star.

And then to the auction to snatch up a resale ewe...

I'm so happy I got her!!

Sham is a gorgeous ewe and will go beautifully with Boots. I've included some pictures of me and her during Showman of Showmen. That really cemented how badly I wanted her.
