Goodbye Harley

I know I’ve been gone for ages but Harley has just suddenly ed away. My dad called me Saturday afternoon to tell me she suffered from a horrible seizure. She was brought to the vet that day and they said everything looked okay; we just had to keep an eye on her. She was off again yesterday and that’s when the vets saw how enlarged her heart had gotten since the day before. There was a lot of fluid and unfortunately Harley was too far into the end stage for anything to be done. She ed away peacefully this afternoon in her warm bed with her favorite toys and treats.

I’m just really struggling right now since I wasn’t even able to say my proper goodbyes or give final pets, being 8 hours away from home. I hope she eventually realized that I was there for through the phone. We only had her for 4 years and I can’t accept how quickly this all happened. She was her normal, happy self days before.. the vets could’ve caught it much sooner and started treatment, but they didn’t. Rest in peace, sweet girl.
