Welcome home, Steel! (P. Regius Jumping Spider!)

Hello PA, I have reed the community after over 5 years of having been gone. I see that it's not as active as it used to be unfortunately. However I wanted a place to share the joy of this beautiful and charming little spider, Steel.

Steel is a juvenile Phidippus Regius, also known as the regal jumping spider. He arrived at my doorstep early this morning a little before 10am. I had been preparing for his arrival since Monday the 12th.

I have liked the snippets of his personality he has shown so far - though it hasn't been much yet. He still has to adjust as this is a new environment and I am a completely new person he has never seen before.

My phone camera has decided it doesn't like his fang colors and makes them look very dark blue mixed with purple. They're actually a green and turquoise color!

And here is an image from just minutes ago. He discovered his hexagon shaped hide and decided he likes it enough to start building silk in there to make it a more comfortable place to rest. After a good while of working away, he made himself comfortable and fell asleep. He's still zonked out as I type this!
