What is Art Fight?

According to the official website, Art Fight is an online annual game in which many different artists can participate. It typically starts at the beginning of July to August 1st. However, we picked June to host this event to avoid confusion. Every individual participant is split into two teams. From there, both team “attack” of the opposite team by drawing the opposing member’s character for points. There are several ways in which attacks can be made, but that will be discussed in a further section.

Our themed teams this time are Team Sonic vs Team Eggman. Each participating will be handed their respective title of “Team Sonic 2025” or “Team Eggman 2025” after their first attack.

Each team will have a team chat which you will be added to when you are assigned a team.

Make sure you follow Gadget or I so we can add you to the team chat!

How to Participate?

Participants can participate by commenting the “ :game_die: ” to be randomly assigned to a team. We do this to prevent bias or overcrowding.

You can create a blog or wiki that contains the characters you want to use and your boundaries for your characters. This includes what you allow for them and what you do not allow for them, and exactly you want to see with the characters you choose to participate with.

Wiki posts are recommended as they can be more organized with information about OCs and they can easily be pinned to a profile for quicker access.

If you plan to make a blog or wiki with this information, please mark it with #TeamEggmanFighter2025, depending on which team you're on.

Boundaries/Content Permissions:

As with the usual art fight game, each character as well as general permissions is provided with each character. The purpose of this is for others to better understand what exactly you are okay with and what you are not okay with when it comes to your characters.

A good example is stating that blood, death, or potential triggers are strictly off-limits.

There are some automatic NO NOs for the permissions that we will get into later.

Specific Requests:

This section discusses what exactly you would like your character to be drawn in with, or perhaps where they are or what they are doing. AUs are also permitted but make sure they do not violate any guidelines!

Now let us get to the meat of the game. Art Fight uses the term “attack” to indicate art made for an opposing team member that is worth points. If you're attacking, please mark the post with #TeamEggmanAttack2025, depending on which team you're on.

An attack is not the only option. Let us discuss other forms of attacks and some examples.

Attacks

A direct drawing or piece made for a specific member of the opposing team.

Ex: You are on Team Eggman and attack a member of Team Sonic with a drawing of their OC.

Revenge

Revenge presents the opportunity for the attacked person to attack back by drawing something of their own. Revenge points are doubled in comparison to the first attack so you will receive double the points of an initial attack. You can also get revenge on them and create a chain for even more points.

Ex: A Team Sonic member attacks the Team Eggman member back and receives double the points.

Friendly Fire

Do not think you are safe in your field. You can friendly-fire someone on your team. The points earned on these types of attacks are halved. But hey, points are points!

Ex: A Team Eggman member attacks another member of their team but only scores half the points for it.

Mass Attacks

These types of attacks can be used to attack several , whether it is on the opposing team or your team. You can also do both. These attacks earn you lots of points!

Ex: Team Sonic member attacks some of Team Sonic and some on Team Eggman in a single drawing, scoring many points for their team.

NO NOS:

We have mentioned it previously, but there are some methods and entries that will not be allowed. Any violation of these rules may warrant an immediate disqualification and moderation action if needed.

NO AI

Art Fight’s guidelines as well as ours prohibit any use of AI whatsoever. This event is meant to be celebrated with our own works and the use of AI will be disabled and you will be disqualified from the event.

NO NSFW

Just as well as Art Fight and our guidelines, NSFW is not allowed whatsoever. This is a PG-13 platform which means many of the s are minors and we do everything in our power to keep everything as safe and clean as possible. Violation of this rule will disable your post and no points will be given for your attack.

TRACING

Tracing is not allowed under any circumstances. No points will count for that attack. If it occurs again, you will be disqualified from the event.

THEFT/CHARACTER THEFT

Any theft of any kind is not allowed as Art Fight is supposed to be your own creations and not stolen art. If theft is spotted or reported, the entry will be disabled and warrant a disqualification from the event.

BAD SPORTSMANSHIP

Of course, not everyone might get art and that is expected. While this is a game centered around trading art, please do not create an uproar by commenting on not getting art. The same goes for insulting the opposing team, which is not allowed by any means.

Our lovely point system was made by Gadget themselves! Here is how we keep score of the entries:

Point Board

Flat Color: +100

Shading: +125

Animation: +15 per frame

Sketches: Half the original points

Friendly Fire: Half the original points

Revenges: Double the original points

Mass Attacks: Points per character and dependent on team

Headshot: 100

Bust: 150

Half body: 250

Full body: 300

Scene: +100

Simple background: (colors, gradients, simple patterns): +100

Complex background: (scene, heavily detailed) +200

Calculated Points:

As entries come in, we will have points calculated and commented on. Your points will be displayed in the team chat you are in and will be added to the total amount of points that the team has accrued. Be sure to look out for your points and Gadget or I if you have not been given your points.

Titles

The member on each team who has scored the most points will be rewarded the “Team Sonic MVP 2025” or “Team Eggman MVP 2025” for scoring the most points.

Profile Features

The MVP of the winning team will earn a 2-day profile feature.

The MVP of the runner-up team will earn a 1-day profile feature.

Coins

The of the winning team will receive 10k coins distributed equally between everyone who attacked.

The runner up team will receive 5k coins distributed equally.
