I'm not a theologist so I don't go that deep.

The Bible is written in a way that main points can be understood by everyone who reads it.

For example, one of today's readings. It talked about how in some areas, where people from Judea started spreading God's word and Jesus's teachings, lived those who aren't Jews. People who went to these areas to preach got into argument do those who want to become Christian need to become Jews first or they can become Christian right away. Some preached that only those whose foreskin is removed can become Christian and be saved. If we look deeper in the Bible we can see that belief has origins in Old Testament where those whose foreskin wasn't removed were ones who believed in many Gods. That led people to believe that everyone who believes in one God is required to have their foreskin removed. So, to settle the argument they sent some people to Jerusalem to ask apostoles. Apostoles prayed for help over that request. Holy Spirit helped them and they wrote a letter (and sent two people to explain the letter) to that area where summary is that it's not required.

We, who read that, can understand that it's not required to remove our foreskin.

It's same with the one you provided. It sumarise what we can see in many places (that it can teach us, that we can reflect on our deeds and words). Also, it says once again, after thousand times in both Testaments, that it is God's word, not some random guy's.

Well, English isn't my native language nor in same language group so...

Besides that, that word isn't a word used a lot in the world. The first time I that I heard it in my native language is when I was in secondary school.

Also, you understood what I wanted to say. That's whole point of learning a foreign language.

It you have anything to say that is connected to our previous conversation, feel free to.
