Yo my fluff-loving miraculers!
It’s your fellow miraculous writer with another Adrienette one-shot!
For this one-shot, I took inspiration from Sabrina Carpenter’s absolutely fabulous new hit single, Why.
This song made me think of the saying opposites attract and I was thinking of MLB at the time and how their miraculouses were kind of opposite with their creation and destruction powers.
I highly recommend that you listen to this song and I’m not just saying that because it’s my current fave song right now...It’s just CLAW-some, that’s all I can say. :joy:
Anyways, enough chit-chat. Time to read some more fluffiness that’ll make your heart melt(I’ve been on a Adrienette fluff spree lately). Enjoy!
Edit:5th FEATURE?????!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS! THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!

You like New York City in the daytime. I like New York City in the nighttime. You say you like sleeping with the air off. I don’t. I need it on.
Marinette’s pretty robin’s egg blue orbs fluttered open as the bright sunshine streamed through the white lace curtains of the hotel room; painting her face a shiny rose gold.
The bluenette groaned and rolled over to her side; wishing for the blackness of the night to return. She pushed the thick, beige bedsheets off her body; wondering why the room felt so warm and if the blocking curtains were pulled back to let in the morning dawn’s light.
The navy blue-haired girl wondered if Adrien had turned off the air conditioner again much to her dislike. She grumbled as if she was currently burning into smokey ashes in the limelight of the blazing sun.
Adrien’s in for nice scolding today.
Marinette thought; ornery and annoyed.
Soft lips pecked her wide open right cheek. Her heavy eyelids flew open at the brief touch. Turning slightly, she was face to face with a handsome figure hovering closely over her.
“Good morning, princess.” The golden-haired boy sang.
Marinette glared up and down the model’s body thoroughly; smoldering him with her cranky gaze. She was feeling very irritated that her kitty thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of her sleeping in.
Anyone could tell, even if they didn’t know her enough to say that Marinette Dupain-Cheng was not happy.
The sunshine yellow-haired boy was already fully dressed in his usual black t-shirt, sky blue skinny jeans, and perfectly groomed blond locks that swayed like smooth-sailing waves.
He appeared as his drop-dead gorgeous self per the use while she was stuck in bed and lost in a maze of crumpled blankets with bad hair, bad breath, and huge bags so large that they must have been filled with groceries underneath her exhausted eyes.
Blush coated her face a crimson color and the bluenette buried her face deep into the satin pillows.
She could hear her boyfriend chuckle at her moody, dreary attitude. He knew all too well that she was never a morning bird unlike him.
“C’mon, get up,” Adrien said cheerfully before his voice lowered an octave making him sound much more...sinister. Still teasing, but so much more maniacal.
The sandy-haired boy leaned over to whisper into Marinette’s still ear. She felt uneasy with Adrien’s sudden change in behavior and was too fearful of his unpredictable movements to twitch.
It sometimes terrified her when his flirtatious, cocky side came out when he was out of costume. She’d have to watch him daily to check what personality he was going to wear every day of the week.
Sometimes her boyfriend would be the school-day sweetheart, the almost arrogant show off, or even his possessive, protective boyfriend side would slip through the cracks.
The heroine also had to contemplate and evaluate what personality of hers she should use to counter him back with. Countless of times she was sassy, numberless times she was an hesitant, adorable mess of a klutz , and multiple times she was the fiercest warrior around if not a bit frightening.
The pretty boy kept on displaying his divergent attitude parts of him to her and Marinette loved him all the more because of it. It didn’t just make their relationship all the more dynamic and exciting, but she was beyond elated that she was able to experience all these different, special halves of him.
The raven-haired lady felt her prince’s smooth fingers gently running over her chin before cupping it with his hand tenderly and tilting it, making her meet his own face straight in the eye.
“A-Adrien!” Marinette mentally cursed her stammering habits and at her diminished confidence. The pinkish tint of cherry red on her flushed cheeks darkened to the color of rubies.
She tried to no avail to prop herself up with her elbows, but Adrien’s muscular arms weighed her down like glue to the mattress.
The tip of the model’s thumb brushed against Marinette’s rosette pink lips.
“Shh...” Adrien murmured as his mouth formed a cute, little smirk that could make anyone’s heart burst; enjoying her nervous discomfort quite gleefully.
The ocean-eyed girl shuddered at his touch. All she could do was stare in a hazy, dream-like daze at his chapstick(specifically a mango flavor)glossed lips in yearning.
Suddenly, her throat grew parch from wanting her boyfriend’s satisfyingly, tasty mouth on her own. The blue-haired princess’s hands wanted to snatch a fistful of the onyx black cloth of the cat hero’s t-shirt and drag him down to her level.
His angelic yet devilish appeal was like catching a glimpse at a sinful heaven. Marinette’s body went numb. Her breaths grew shorter and faster. She could feel her heart’s palpitations accelerating by the second.
Ba-dump. Ba-dump. Ba-dump.
The electric green-eyed boy licked his lips in a agonizingly slow movement. The suspense was painstakingly killing Marinette inside. When was he going to make his move on her? He always was one for taking his sweet time.
His mouth surged forward; only a few centimeters from her own mouth. Marinette licked her own cracked lips; already savoring his delectably sugary mouth.
The cobalt-eyed girl felt her exhausted eyelids growing heavy as her boyfriend’s body warmth crawled closer. Inch by inch. She parted her own lips slightly and puckered them to let him take control.
Lustful pleasure was the only thing in her mind. Fantasies on where this direction could lead them left her excited.
It’s been a while since the two were left alone and the princess leaped at the thought of messing with a game of cat and mouse with her kitty. Except she believed that she was playing the role of the feline in the show.
She couldn’t be more dead wrong.
Feathery soft lips brushed Marinette’s and she opened her mouth as permission for entrance. Adrien affectionately stroked her loosely wild, indigo locks that weren’t in it’s usual neat pigtails. It honestly made her appear all the more beautiful to him.
And, the crafty cat just couldn’t resist toying with his favorite lady.
You like the light coming through the windows. I sleep late so I just keep them all closed. You ignore the music on the radio. I don’t. I sing-a-long.
Adrien sneakily and patiently waited for his bugaboo’s exhausted, lustful eyes to close before smirking even wider.
He sucked in a short breath of air before placidly releasing it. The sunshine yellow-haired adjusted his position to appear as though he was going to kiss her. Before their lips made , at the last second, Adrien thought it would be a good idea to tease her.
The bluenette‘s lips puckered and cracked open slightly. Such a shame he was only manipulating with her. Instead, the leaf green-eyed boy forced his mouth to miss and hit the corner of his girlfriend’s mouth.
Adrien’s forest green irises flickered with mischief fun when he saw her turquoise orbs burst open and widen to the size of saucers. Her mouth was formed in an ‘o’ shape in incredulous shock.
“C’mon, New York City’s not gonna explore itself you know.” Adrien said nonchalantly as he stood up abruptly from the hotel bed and turning around. Hiding his internal laughs and satisfied smirk. Leaving behind a bewildered Marinette thinking.
What just happened?
Her brain’s mind gears started winding up again; the wheels processing what just happened into her memory drive.
“A-Adrien!” She hollered at the cat hero who was rolling down the aisle in uncontrollable guffaws.
I don’t ask for you to change. Baby, no, no, no. And you don’t ask for me to change.
“Mari!” Adrien whined like a little kid at Marinette’s stubborn, childish silence treatment. “I already said I’m sorry my lady, what else do you want me to do?!”
His midnight-haired princess responded with a maddening huff and stuck her chin in the air; pretending he didn’t exist.
Adrien sighed exasperated at her obstinate attitude. He didn’t think she would get so full of antimony over a silly prank like this.
“Honestly, you’re such a child.” Adrien muttered; loud enough for only her to hear.
She wisely chose to ignore him, but continued to give him the same prideful, glaring ice blue eyes that bored into his soul sending winter cold shivers down his spine.
Running his hand through his hirsute threads of hair; absent-minded, Adrien gestured with his other hand for the ebony-haired girl to follow. She shot him a piqued look of interest, but obliged.
The couple sauntered down the paved, creamy colored sidewalk and ambled to the car Adrien’s dad, Gabriel Agreste, left them before they left for their week trip.
The car was a sunny yellow Ferrari with jet black, rubber wheels with moon silver hubcaps. The day’s fiery star made the expensive vehicle gleam like jewels and the side mirrors projected the blinding light.
Pressing a unlock button on the car keys and heard it make a beep. Adrien applauded himself for the clever idea bubbling inside his head. To get her talking, all he had to do was exploit her interests.
The two alighted themselves into the cheese yellow vehicle which reminded Adrien of Plagg whom he had left back in the hotel room; praying that the mini kwami of destruction wouldn’t cause trouble.
But considering that the coal black humanoid was also the god of bad luck, Adrien wouldn’t be surprised if Plagg decided to go exploring.
Well, as long as Mari’s kwami tags along with him, the two should be okay.
The drive was awkward to say the least. Adrien was steering; watching the road and adjusting the mirrors every few minutes. His eyes scanned the small buttons and levers; searching for a specific button.
He smiled silently in elation when he saw the particular switch before flicking it. Phase One of his plan was set into motion.
The male radio announcer boomed into the microphone the same repetitive words each time saying “Today’s best mix!” after each song. However, Adrien loved listening to what America had to offer. Being fluent in English also helped matters.
A moment after the speaker finished his exact same statement, the song “Why” came on; the familiar musical rhythm filling the soundless void in the car. The woman’s voice was young and had an ounce of bittersweet raw emotion that wrenched the listeners hearts.
The lyrics were catchy and before long, Adrien caught his lady humming along with the words before singing along; forgetting that she wasn’t the only one in the car.
The starless-haired girl trailed off on her novice singing and improv dancing when she caught the eye of her amused boyfriend. His joyful smirk caused her milky white face to turn a cherry red tint.
“You did that on purpose.” Marinette accused; whirling her body to stare out the glass car windows. Adrien only laughed in return; still keeping on the same signature Cat Noir smirk.
The sandy blond-haired boy was just too grateful that he managed to get her to speak even if it was only a mere sentence.
Tell me how we’re not alike, but we work so well and we don’t even know why. Funny how the stars crossed right and and we work so well and we don’t even why.
After a good fifteen minutes of driving, Marinette popped the question. She may have been giving him the silent treatment, but her curiosity was nerve-wracking.
“Where are we going?” She inquired.
“It’s a surprise M’lady.” He responded with a flirtatious wink; ticking the navy blue-eyed girl off.
“Curiosity does kill the cat.” Marinette mumbled; scowling at the world. Her hubris may have been damaged and her temper may be losing it’s patience with that insolent alley cat, but she had to it that America’s New York City was indeed beautiful.
“But satisfaction brought it back.” She heard him retort back confidently.
The towering, reflective skyscrapers sparkled like mirrors making the entire city glitter like carved, polished diamonds. The traffic around these parts were never ending and endlessly continuing past every corner.
The bluenette people watched hundreds of erby people strutting down the sidewalks without a care in the world: couples, families, and children. How liberty and peace reigned their worlds and heavens in the land of the free.
The city was magical. Marinette wouldn’t have traded her vacation for any other place in the world.
She gazed up and thought the fluffy, cumulus clouds were racing into the summer sky. The sun glimmered it’s radiance over the country and the whole world seemed to be in nature.
The car tires squeaked to a stop as Adrien parked the lemon yellow Ferrari by a vacant spot by the pavement sidewalk.
The emerald green-eyed boy waltzed over to the other side of the car. Opening the vehicle’s side door for Marinette who merely acknowledged him with a forced and whispered thanks to which he only grinned like the Cheshire Cat at.
Merrily(at least Adrien was), the duo walked downtown before the golden-haired boy stopped them at a particular shop; the Belle Boutique.
You can call it fire and ice, but we work so well and we don’t even know why. No, no. We don’t even know why.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng was awestruck with wonder at the hundreds-no, thousands of seasonal, fashionable outfits spread out fantastically on the faceless mannequins in divergent poses.
The onyx-haired girl squealed at everything ranging from the colorful fabrics, pairs of leather heels and boots, glittery jewelry and accessories, sun-kissed hats, and magnificently designed gowns and clothes.
She glanced back at Adrien in confusion as to why they were in a clothing store. “Why-“ She began, but was interrupted by his rapid answer.
“Because this is where you’re the happiest. If I’m being honest, I just wanted to see you smile.” Adrien beamed; his effluence melting her heart into a pool of giddiness.
Her eyebrows raised in surprise at his genuine words. They were too meaningful to ever seem fake or pretend. His cheeky grin was too sugary sweet looking to be nothing more than a shiny smile.
She’ll believe him. For now.
Hours later, after trying on who knows how many attires, Marinette carefully sorted through the ones she adored the best. She judged them each individually depending on every dress’s size, patterns, beauty, originality, and inspiration.
Finally satisfied with her choices(a gauzy, rosette knee-low dress, and three dazzling, sunset pink pearl and diamond bracelets)Marinette clutched the dress and accessories to the cashier stand with Adrien close behind her who was iring the bay window displays.
The employer leaning against the cashier(bored out of her skull)with a frown crease formed on her glittery glossed mouth.
The girl was sharpening her garnet red nails to a crisp with a manicure chisel in deep concentration as if she was taking a college exam for physics or algebra.
The obnoxious noise of her grape flavored chewing gum nearly drove Marinette and Adrien over the edge along with numerous recollections of another annoying blonde-haired gum chewer back home.
She was young, around the sapphire-eyed heroine’s age, with a heart-shaped face, auburn beach waves for hair, and lightly jet black mascara outlined over her stormy blue irises and thick eyelashes.
Noticing that she had a customer, the auburn-haired attendant groaned in aggravation at having to “do something” and rolled her silvery orbs dramatically.
She tossed the nail chisel to the marble side counter and didn’t even bother looking Marinette in the eye.
“Alright, whaddaya want?” She scowled; aggressive intent in her determined laced within her expression. “Or have you come here just to waste my time?”
The bluenette felt her confidence seeping away and her insistent stammering returning. She read the metal pin on the cashier’s shirt. Written in perfect script was the name Hailey.
“Just...wanted...purchase...uh...here...” Marinette held out the bejeweled dress and pricey wrist jewelry awkwardly; humiliatingly scamming through her purse for her wallet before another hand with a credit card ed hers.
“Here,” Adrien said casually. “I’ll pay.”
Shock entered Marinette’s endorphins in her brain cells exploded. What was her kitty-cat trying to accomplish?
He already knew that she hated it when he spoiled her like this; giving her whatever she wanted with just a bundle of money. The blond was just too generous for his own good and it infuriated her.
Hailey’s flirty yet weak attempts at twirling her hair agitated Marinette even more; especially since this random stranger was checking out her boyfriend like he was a feast on Thanksgiving.
However she held a tight leash on her fiery temper and kept her cool even when Hailey waved at Adrien as they left the store and when Adrien sheepishly waved back to be polite.
Marinette slowly turned her neck back to face her spoiling kitten before giving him a soft smile.
“Just this once.” She reprimanded; referring to how he paid the expensive total cost of the items with no expense.
The leaf green-eyed boy only grinned innocently in return.
Cold outside and you’re just in a t-shirt. I have cold blood even in a sweater. You start your night sipping by the kilo. I don’t. I know you know.
“Adrien-“ Marinette started to protest as Adrien wrapped his white flannel over his freezing girlfriend’s shoulders.
The ladybug hero may have been already wearing a fluffy, wool sweater, but she was still feeling as cold as ice from the bustling high-speed winds with a high chance of snow in the air.
Seriously, it was like she had the same cold blood as a reptile or amphibian.
“It’s fine Mari, don’t worry about it.” Adrien said; slurping another spoonful of the hot fudged ice cream sundae the duo were sharing.
“You’ll catch a cold.” Marinette argued with a motherly scolding tone.
“As long as you’re healthy, I’ll live with it.” Adrien shrugged.
Marinette sighed at his conclusion. No matter what, he wasn’t going to change his mind. Stars above, she was lucky. Lucky about having him in her life. Lucky about belonging to him in her life.
Somehow we end up on the same side. And you wouldn’t think that we’d be alright. Even our eyes are different colors, but we see fine.
New York City twinkled like the comets and meteors in a starless night sky. The heavens were a majestic royal purple and the lights from all the city buildings’ windows illuminated the darkness like stars in a galaxy.
“Hey,” Marinette muttered. “Adrien?”
“Hm?”
“Thanks for today. Really.”
Adrien smiled. “Anytime M’lady.” The two cuddled together under the night sky in comfortable silence.
“So, does this mean you forgive me?”
“Not even close.”
“Mari!” Adrien whined.
“I’m kidding!” Marinette giggled; doubling over in laughter.
