Miraculous Online:SAO AU Chapter 6

With a large shove, the ornate, stone doors opened up to reveal a massive battle stage.

It was designed magnificently with intricately carved broken hearts and swirls with shimmering gold sparkles from the unique rock walls.

The players all gasped in awe at the splendid details the MMO creators took into .

Max clanged his emerald green blade against the ground loudly; grabbing everyone's attention. His jet black armor and neon green glasses gleamed in the lights making him glow. "Engage into battle stance, the boss will appear!"

True to his word, a beast at least the size of five people appeared. It was a beautiful monster made completely out of the same glimmering stone on the walls and it's own rock head minions. It's name popped up as well as it's three health bars. Stoneheart.

"Ready yourselves!" Max shouted. "Thanks to the app from the beta testers, we know it's attack movements! Squad A and B, you're up!" He had natural leading skills and with his precise plan and calculations, Max was the MMO's best tactician.

Formulating his ingenious plan, Max had named each party team a specific squad depending on how many each one had, their different weapon preferences, and stats.

"Squad E, you're a go!" Our brilliant leader called; directing it at us.

"Time to pounce." I punned; I could just see my partner rolling her eyes. She sheathed out a thin, scarlet sword and swiped it against the air.

My eyes bulged; I had never seen a sword like that in my entire life of playing MMOs. Could it be? I watched her beside me as I pulled out my own onyx blade and carefully made sure no one could see it.

She made the first attack, slicing at the creature's stomach making it growl in pain. He roared like a fierce lion and tried to punched us, but only hit air.

I went for it, bolting forward like lightning for a slice. The clinging of metal ringed making my ears vibrate. Stoneheart growled and slammed his fist toward Ladybug, the shadow overclouding her cloak.

No, she can't die. Not yet. "Ladybug!" I screamed for dear life. I caught sight of piercing bluebell eyes as she miraculously dodged, but her woolen cloak didn't make it.

Sapphire hair tumbled down her back. Milky skin and light, pink armor. I saw her breathtaking face and just like that time slowed. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

My dazed expression must of had her clueless because she yelled at me. "Cat! Stop staring and help me out here!"'

"R-right!" I stuttered like an idiot. What the heck was wrong with me. My cheeks were flushed and my neck felt hot like the inside of a bursting volcano.

I raced over to her side, but my bad luck just had to strike now. My feet tangled within themselves as I tripped over a measly pebble. I cursed that pebble as my balance was lost and I crashed into my partner. We rolled over the rocky ground as I accidentally pinned her below me with both my hands on either side of her head.

We breathed heavily, precipitation trailing down our necks. Our faces were mere inches apart and then I realized our awkward position.

I smirked; leaning in closer, but she frowned to my displeasure and pushed my face up: shouted protests muffled. Shoving me off her, she muttered something incoherent. "You stupid cat." I wasn't dense enough to not see that her face was beet red. I'll take it.

"You two, rest," Max ordered. He flashed his own dark green blade. "I'll finish it." All the party cheered him on to declare their win.

Suddenly, the boss pounded against his rock hard chest; roaring beastly. I didn't this attack pattern from the beta test, until my mind clicked. This game was different from the beta test. "Max! Wait! The boss's-" I was too late.

Max's body crumpled in midair and vanished into a thousand pearl white butterflies. I saw his lips move, but no words came out as he smiled at death. Our battle tactician was gone.

Rage.

More rage than I have ever felt in my life poured into my internal volcano. Antimony struck my heart as I screamed for vengeance. I wasn't the only one.

Ladybug shrieked and I moved without hesitation for one thing. Ultimate destruction. Our blades glowed: crimson red and forest green. She made the first move before the game could analyzed her attack. It was time to test what these babies could do.

The catalyst to destroy was what filled my veins as I yearned to sliced this beast and game into a million pieces. Just enough so it could never work again.

Attack.

Attack.

Attack.  

Switching after each swipe of our dancing blades, teamwork drove us to kill this creature and release our battle cries of war against this life or death game. This was our stand. Right here and now. We will escape this game and stop Hawkmoth at all costs.

After a lasting strike,the monster finally roared it's last breath before disappearing as well into more pure white butterflies into the abyss of death.

Ladybug and I swung our Miracle Swords over our heads in unison. Shadows clouding our faces. It felt good to release all that anger, but it wouldn't bring our comrade back.

Max. Your loss won't be in vain. I swear, I-no WE will beat this game.

Symphonies of cheers from our victory echoed throughout the battle hall.

Congratulations, the game beeped.

This chapter was a bit shorter than usual and I apologize, but it was very important. Max died?! Yes, I based him off of Diabel in the SAO series. Dramatic effects are always needed. Do comment any suggestions you may have and thank you all so much for reading! Until next time, ME-OW!
