Hey my kitties! The poll I made a few days ago won with a Maricat story so here it is! This fan-fiction will be about what I think should happen during the balcony scene in season 2 and what happens after. Enjoy! Bug Out! :beetle: :cat: :beetle: :cat: :beetle: :cat:
***
Marinette wiped the trickling tears off her face as she gazed upon her balcony over Paris. It was a gorgeous night. The twinkling stars made a wonderful background against the silvery crescent moon. The streets of Paris were peacefully quiet; not even the sound of a mouse scurrying around the alleyways were heard.
"Another failed day of talking to Adrien." Marinette muttered to herself. Her mind wandered back to the memory of her humiliating moment in school.
FLASHBACK
"Come on girl! You've been stalling all day. GO!" Alya tried pushing Marinette out of the hidden corner, but she wouldn't budge; she was as still as a boulder.
"No!" Marinette protested. "I can't!" Alya backed up; warming herself up for a final push. With a head start, Alya shoved Marinette right into Adrien's arms. She pushed a little too hard though because Adrien was holding a drink and when Marinette slammed into him, the water spilled all over his shirt.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Adrien!" Tears threaten to escape Marinette's eyes as she stood back up.
Adrien, being the understanding and kind person he was, tried to brush the accident off. "It's okay Marinette really. It's-" before he could finish, Marinette pushed him out of her way; crying her heart out.
FLASHBACK END
The tears fought their way through Marinette's eyes as she sobbed again. She couldn't hold it back as her emotions took ahold of her. The embarrassment, the humiliation. She covered her face to muffle the noise so that Tikki couldn't hear. She didn't want her to worry.
Marinette dried her tears over her sleeve as letted her thoughts wander. "Why can't I talk to him normally without embarrassing myself like a fool?" She groaned. "What the point? There's no way, he would like a girl like me. I'm just a nobody. And he's like a model, son of the greatest fashion designer in the world, and well...he's perfect." These thoughts roamed Marinette's head as she gave herself a pity party.
"I'm so stupid." She said aloud.
A smooth voice interrupted her sulking moment. "Hey, purrincess."
Marinette spun around quicker than a tornado and found that indeed yes. A cool cat had crashed the party. She gaped. Cat Noir was on her balcony.
