Marinette wiped the dirty tablecloth over Adrien's study desk in his room as she waited for him to wake up. She had wonderfully pleasant dreams throughout the night after her dance with Adrien. Her mind shrieked over and over YOU DANCED WITH PRINCE ADRIEN AGRESTE! That rush of happiness was nothing compared to that final moment between them. She kissed him, but he didn't know who she was. That saddened her. Despite that fact that it was her who danced with him, he would and must never know who she really was.

Adrien shifted in his bed and stretched out his arms with a long yawn. His bleary eyes noticed Marinette and a smile crept up his face.

"Good morning Marinette." He said while yawning again. "Is it really morning already? I feel like I only went to bed a couple hours ago."

Marinette giggled. "That's cause you did Adrien. The ball?"

Adrien went into a dreamy like trance and he blanked out; wandering the land of daydreams. "Ah, the ball..."

Marinette wanted to tease him a bit. "What was so special about last night Adrien?" She asked as nonchalant as possible.

Adrien snapped out of daydream mood and focused back on Marinette's question. "This girl."

Marinette smirked. "Really?! Tell me all the deets now!" She pretended to not know who he was talking about, but in reality; the answer was clearer than her porcelain face.

Adrien was in such a lovesick state that it was hilarious when he talked. "She goes by the name of Ladybug. She was the most amazing, humorful, and gorgeous girl I have ever met in my life."

"Really?" Marinette asked while trying not sound spiteful. She knew it was ironically stupid to be jealous of her other half, but yet so realistic. Often, Marinette would compare herself to Ladybug and knowing how different each one of her halves were; it was a miracle that they were actually the same person. Many times, she would envy her other half as though they were as different people because anyone could tell that the two halves were as different and unique as day and night.

As Adrien continued to blabber about Ladybug's perfection; Marinette suddenly didn't feel like talking about her anymore. "That's great..." Marinette managed. "I hope you have a good day Adrien. I'll see you around." She said, feeling melancholy. With a slow walk, she left his room; feeling depressed at her current situation.

Adrien wasn't an idiot. He noticed Marinette's change in behavior from her normal joyful self to a somberly soul. Was she...jealous? Adrien nearly slapped himself. No way, Marinette was jealous of Ladybug; whoever she was. And there was no possible way that she actually liked him. They were just friends and that's all they'll ever be.

"Another day as usual." Adrien flopped down on his bed, grumbling.

Hope you like this next part kitties! Have a positively PAWsome day!
