Hey my kitties! Here is part 8 of "The Prince and the Ladybug" ENJOY!

She was the most stunning girl, he had ever seen in his life. She wore a scarlet dress with black spots on like a ladybug, matching gloves, and a small tiara adorned her head.

Adrien stepped closer; wanting to see her face and get a better look. The mysterious woman had hair as dark as night, bluebell eyes, and fair skin.

She noticed his approach and turned to face him. Adrien's knees felt weak and feeble as he tried to speak without falling.

"May I have this dance Miss..." He held out his arm for her to take; a sweet old-fashioned gesture.

"Ladybug. And of course Your Highness." She wrapped her arm around his and let him lead her toward the dance floor.

Ladybug was a astounding dancer as he managed to keep up with her graceful movements and never-ending posture. And her joyful giggle as he tried his best to keep his pace and not fall. Adrien was really starting to like this girl.

As they twirled around the ballroom, people gasped and pointed at them. It was as if they were the stars of the ball. Adrien noticed her discomfort at all the unwanted attention.

"Come with me." Adrien whispered. He gently took her hand and took her to his favorite place in the whole world. His mother's garden.

"What are we doing here Your Highness?" Ladybug asked.

"I noticed that you weren't accustomed with dancing with me with the..." He struggled for the right word. "Attention."

Ladybug nodded. There was something so familiar about her, but Adrien couldn't figure it out. The way she walked, softly talked, and her shyness. She radiated a sense of comfort and understanding. Adrien wanted to know more about her, but he didn't want to scare her off so her decided to start simple.

"Do you know why this place is so important to me?"

When she shook her head, he continued. "When my mother disappeared a few years ago, this place became my safe haven. A place to go if I wanted to all the few happy memories I have left."

"Y-you never had a happy life after her tragedy?"

"There were very few things that made me happy after that. I made some amazing friends and I got a secret gift."

"What was it?" She asked.

A smirk formed on Adrien's face. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret now would it?"

Ladybug laughed. " I don't really have the best life either, but like you...I found some people who I know will never leave my side."

There was a connection between them that sparked a glorious beginning for a new relationship; a relationship that could turn out for the better or the worst.
