Lila leaned her exhausted back against the rusty, wooden frame of the restaurant door. Sighing tiredly at her miserable day, she slid her body down to the rotten, dirty floor as slow as a snail.
Wiping away her escaping, liquid drops of tears, she choked on her own sobs. The brunette didn't think that losing her place in her guild, her mindless slave players, and her waitress job all in one day would prove to be so devastating.
And for what reason? For lying that she was best friends with the most popular, most powerful, and most prettiest front liner in the Miraculous Online MMO? For reasons that she didn't even understand herself? For losing the disastrous match to someone like her?!
It was clawing through her brain. Eating away her subconsciousness. Hard realization and harsh truth make their way through to finally make her know it. Know that she was just a pathetic loser compared to the flawless blue-haired swords woman.
Lila always hated the truth. It always says what you don't want to hear; that it's as true as reality. That you can't change the facts. She thought that hiding behind mere fibs would save her, protect her even from the dangerous, ever reaching truth, but no. Lies failed her. Just as everything else did.
Lila dug her slimy hands into her hair;shaking desperately, effortlessly trying to get the forever etched words that she despised. What she heard all her life. Loser. Coward. Liar. Nobody. Pathetic. The list dragged on and on.
Her misery and desperation drove her to trust the lies. Over and over again. And each time, she lost her glory, fame, and popularity. Why did it always end like this?
Ending with someone else earning the rewards and their happily ever after instead of what should have been hers from the start. Always ending with her trapped in tenebrious darkness and a chaotic mind.
Lila.
Lila raised her head at the sound of a voice. "Who's there?" She murmured cautiously. Was it some red or orange player after her?
Why should you stay in this melancholy dump? You deserve so much more.
Those raspy whispers. Where were they coming from? The chestnut-haired ex-waitress summoned her sharp, tourmaline blade; the only item she managed to steal from her guild after they took her out.
We could do some much more together dear Lila. We must get vengeance on the ones who wronged us. Starting with Ladybug.
Her head; clouded with malicious thoughts on how to extract revenge on every single person who had stolen from her like a petty thief. But, she will it, they were all very skilled, talented thieves.
They stole her fame. They stole her glory. They stole her popularity. They stole her dignity and pride. They stole her treasures. And, they stole her only salvation at true, real happiness.
"I like the sound of that." Lila sneered; licking over her cracked, slightly bloody lips in anticipation and excitement.
Good. Lila, my name is Hawkmoth and I will give you great strength and power to obliterate the ones who destroyed you. In return, all I ask is that you give me all of their Miracle Swords. Do we have deal?
Hawkmoth? That name ranged a familiar bell somewhere...No matter, if he can give her power to send her enemies to the devil, she'll do whatever bidding he desired in return. She'll go straight to Tartarus and back if he willed it.
"Yes, Hawkmoth." The jade eyed girl spread her mouth and teeth into the widest, creepiest grin she could muster. Before the dark side took her over for good.

"Girl, can you hand me the spatula? Mixing this dough is harder than it looks." Volpina grunted; stirring the creamy colored, sticky batter even harder while reaching out her left, free hand to grab the light wooded spatula.
Ladybug sighed; totally bored out of her mind with the new recipe her best friend was baking. Normally, the girl adored creating new, delectable treats for herself and friends, but she just wasn't feeling it today because of a specific something.
No
The bluenette thought. A certain someone was making her feel absolutely terrible...and guilty. She glanced out the tiny, stained glass window briefly; catching a glimpse of a particular handsome, sandy-blond haired swordsman.
It's been three weeks since the incident at the Lair and their argument. After that, her relationship with her partner just got worse. They wouldn't speak, go places together, spar together, they wouldn't even look at each other in the eye!
It was like those sad, emerald green orbs were daring her to make the first move. So, she just stared and dared at him right back; refusing to make with those rich, inviting irises.
Even though, she yearned to confess to him on how sorry she was and how she walked out in him without looking back, she just couldn't. The girl just had no clue why. Why, was the question she didn't know the answer to.
The others wouldn't intervene which she was grateful for. They just stood by them ively if not awkwardly. More guilt flooded her brain cells for putting them in this sticky situation with herself and her partner. Just great, another load of things to think about.
The two boys(Cat Noir and Ivan)were teaching Mylene how to properly wield her new dagger the rest of the Zombie Skullcrushers bought for her. The amber-eyed girl was struggling against the guys, but she was holding her own fairly well.
While the two friends, Juleka and Rose, were having a duel with Juleka's silver hand mirror which apparently was her weapon and shield against Rose's pink and black poisonous blade. Shooting out any type of hazardous apple green gas, but the short-haired girl kept it to a minimum to not cause lasting damage.
They all aren't half bad.
Ladybug thought. At least her new comrades would prove to be quite helpful; trying to find out where Hawkmoth is and stopping him once and for all. But, it would be so much better and much less painful if her irritating emotions wouldn't get in her way.
The bluebell-eyed girl was sick and exhausted of these worsening feelings ravaging through her fragile body. She didn't know how much longer she could stand the anguish. The sword wielder just wanted it to stop.
Ladybug squeezed her eyes shut; praying for the hurt to go away. To just leave and never return. But, why doesn't it? Is it because she knows what she did was wrong? Or was she afraid of facing him again?
Ladybug scoffed at no one in particular. No, she wasn't scared. Her pride, honor, and dignity wouldn't allow something as foolish and childish as this to scare the life out of her. In truth, and to make it all short and sweet, she was terrified. Not scared...terrified.
"You know, running away from the problem won't solve anything." A new voice alighted into her mind; tone, slightly sassy.
Ladybug's head jerked in bewilderment; trying her hardest not to look so surprise. She tried for a blank stare. "I-I don't know what you're talking about." The bluenette stuttered; hiding her sullen expression horribly.
The ombré haired blogger stared straight back; completely unamused. "Girl, don't play dumb with me. You can try, but I can see right through you. Let me guess, Cat Noir?" She inquired; gesturing outside to the pretty boy.
Ladybug' s baby blue orbs widened to the size of saucers. "How did you-"
"It's as obvious as day and night," Volpina interrupted. "You've been giving those poor windows the death stare for a while now. So tell me..." The amber-eyed Miracle Sword Holder gently placed the pearl white plates on the rickety, oak wood table. "What's been going on with you two? It's been like weeks and you both have barely said any words to one another since we went to that diner."
"It's not-" Ladybug started to protest; yearning to lie herself that she wasn't depressed; over a boy no less, but her scratchy windpipes halted. Explicitly screaming that it was about him. That annoying, smug, flirty swordsman, but...That swordsman was also caring, selfless, and just...plain amazing.
The bluenette sighed; crossing her arms and rubbing her elbows up and down. "It's..." She struggled for the right words. "Complicated."
Volpina groaned; tapping her temple rapidly in frustration and at her dense, totally clueless comrade. "Boy drama." She muttered.
Before either of them could say another word, the door clicked open; revealing the rest of their gang.
"Is lunch ready yet, V?" Ivan asked; face hopeful and excited.
Volpina grinned. "Just about, come on in guys." She waved everyone in; relieved that the tense conversation she was having with her obstinate friend hit the pause button.
"Yes!" Ivan punched his fist into the air energetically followed in by Cat Noir who just gave a light-hearted smirk before avoiding eye with his lady(which had Volpina face-palming herself).
"Awesome." Juleka said all monotone; walking in close behind.
"Yippee!" Rose squealed; leaping up and down making her rosette pink dress flutter.
Mylene timidly waved a good morning; precipitation trailing down her sweaty face before plopping down next to her boyfriend.
After eating Volpina's and Ladybug's scrumptious meal, Ivan decided it was the best time to start their tasks of the day...chores. Everyone moaned and rammed their foreheads against the hard table.
"Now, now everyone," Ivan chaises. "We all have our part to do. If we keep this up, we'll all eventually be able to buy new equipment for everyone and maybe even a new home!" Those lively comments had everyone up and ready again with few complaints.
"Alright!" Ivan continued; pulling out a small piece of paper parchment. "Here's what everyone will be doing. Volpina, you're with me. I'll be needing your intellect for the missions we'll be going on for some more money. Rose, Juleka, Mylene. I want you three staying here and cleaning up our house cause as you can see...we don't exactly live in the neatest place. As for Ladybug, Cat Noir. I need you both to get some more food since we're out of stock. Can you two handle that?"
The two front liners nodded anxiously; both clearly nervous about shopping at the market together. It's been a little while since the two of them worked together on something. Especially on chores day.
"Great!" Ivan grinned; unaware of their discomfort with the pairing. "Any objections?" When none were heard, the guild leader immediately set off with Volpina; yelling at the top of his lungs to work hard.
Sorry, you two. Forgive me for making you two a team for this, but you both have a lot to talk about and a lot of conflicts between you both need to be addressed and resolved.
Volpina thought; glancing back at the apartment building they all called home before bolting ahead to catch up with her friend.
Mylene, Juleka, and Rose had all made up excuses to take their leave from the pressuring uncomfortable atmosphere the duo were in. Leaving them completely alone in the spacious kitchen.
Ladybug fidgeted with her ocean blue hair; petrified of making a sound that would capture his unwavering attention. She couldn't bare to look into those luminescent, leaf green irises holding back a hurricane of sadness.
Thankfully, he made the first move. Glaring at the grey ground, the Miracle Sword Holder made his way toward the front door. Opening it; showing off the bright, blinding sunshine having an effect on her bleary orbs.
"Well, are you coming?" He asked softly.
How could he do this to her? Make her feel like it wasn't her fault at all? Act natural when there was a rough, streaming river coursing in between the two sides. It was like he was reaching out with his glowing hand for her and her alone to take and jump over to his side. Could he possibly have it in his heart to forgive her selfishness?
All she wanted was to prance into his waiting arms, begging for forgiveness. To hug and feel his furnace, fleeting warmth. She yearned to cry. To sob her soul out if he could just forgive her foolish, selfish actions.
But, when she saw his adorable, small smile. That's when she knew, he had already forgiven her.
"Ah, I'm coming!" She called.

Poor Volpina, stuck in between these two lovesick teens. :joy: May next time come with a waterfall of tears! Bug Out!
