Ladybug and Adrien talked for who knows how long. They didn't care about the time or what was happening at the ball; they just wanted to stay together.
Adrien wondered why it was so easy to talk to her about his private stuff, but there was something about her that gave him the courage to let it all out.
She was the most amazing girl that he had ever met and if he could, he could spend his whole life just talking, joking, and laughing with her.
Adrien wanted to ask her something though, but he hesitated; afraid he might cross a line and break the friendship he had with her. "Ladybug?"
Ladybug stopped giggling and turned to meet his emerald green eyes. "Yes, Adrien?"
Adrien took a deep breath. "I wanted to ask why you're wearing a mask? You do know it's not a masquerade right?"
Her sudden silence was too much to bare. Adrien tried to laugh it off. "Never mind it was a stupid question anyway-"
"Because I don't want them to know."
Adrien stopped laughing. "What?" He had been laughing so he didn't hear correctly.
"I don't want anyone to know who I am." Ladybug repeated.
Adrien couldn't stop the word from coming out of his mouth. "Why?"
Ladybug looked as though she was going to cry. "Because I'm a disappointment." She whispered.
Adrien wouldn't believe it. Who in their right mind could be disappointed at this amazing, sweet, beautiful, and kind girl. They had barely known each other for more than a few hours, but Adrien couldn't let his friend feel like this.
He reached out and gently hugged her; letting her silent tears wash away.
"M'lady. It's okay." He felt her snuggle into his shoulder and let loose a smile.
The deafening sound of the clock gong rang through all the ears in the palace. Twelve gongs. It was midnight.
Ladybug jerked back from Adrien's arms. "I-I should go."
Adrien was confused. "So soon?" Truthfully, he didn't want her to leave, but he couldn't make her stay with him. Adrien wasn't even sure if he will ever see her again unless his father and future bride made another grand ball.
Ladybug smirked. "Don't worry. I'll see you sooner than you think." She pecked a sweet kiss against his lips and vanished leaving Adrien standing motionless with a dorky grin on his face.
The only thing he could think about was this. "She kissed me. K.I.S.S. Kissed me. Me!"
Hope you like this little fluff moment between them! I LOVE whenever I write about these parts in the story! Until next time, BUG OUT! :beetle: :cat: :beetle: :cat: :beetle: :cat:
