Role Model Challenge-Winner

Hey Guys!

Today I bring you another challenge! Since the majority of you voted for this challenge in the poll, we will of course being making it official, so I shall show you a short example blog so you have a general idea of how this challenge works!

With those out of the way, time to move on to the steps of the challenge.

There are many character we adore, but let's be honest, we all have our #1! Also be sure to briefly explain who they are, their personality, and magic.

#2-List Why You ire Them?

Alright so you picked the character you wanted, now list what you ire about them, is it their continuous drive to get stronger? Is it them always being a good friend? Etc.

#3-What Makes Them Different?

Discuss on some of the reasons why you think they are different from other fairy tail characters. What makes them unique? Is it their personality ? Magic? Attitude? Childhood? Etc.

#4-Mention Some Of Their Most

Inspirational Or Motivating Moments!

Many characters in the series have had their spotlight time, so now you can mention a few of them. But focus on the ones that you think what makes the character inspirational. Whether it be a friendship speech, an act of saving someone, or even sacrificing themselves.  

#5- Meeting Them?!

If you could spend a whole day with them in the fairy tail world, how do you think it would be like? What do you think you would ask them or talk to them about? We will let you add a little fan fiction here, so get into your creative side!

#1-Role Model Choice:

Gildarts Clive

This man is a pure badass. Gildarts is the strongest S rank member of the Fairy Tail guild.

He has been in this guild for quite a long time and he is part of the reason why many people fear this guild. He left the guild in X 781 because he wanted to take on a 100 Year Quest, which he ended up bowing out on, due to almost dying from the threat he fought. He battled the mighty dragon, Acnologia, which he lost his left arm, leg and an organ apart of his chest.

Appearance

Gildarts is a very tall, muscular man. Who has brushed back orange hair, slightly tan skin, and dark brown eyes(anime). He always wears a brown cape around his neck that runs all the down to his ankles, along with some battle armor on certain parts of his outfit. Bandages can be seen on his arms and chest. He wears dark blue pants, along with some boots, a well detailed belt, and shin guards.

In the Alavarez arc, he grows some facial hair, his hairstyle changes slightly, and he looks to be a bit more muscular. His powers have also increased too!

Personality

Normally, Gildarts is chill and laid back, having a care free attitude, he just wants to enjoy the company of his guild mates when he can. When it comes to personal stuff, like dealing with his daughter, Cana Alberona, he gets more goofy or worried, depending on the situation. Finally, when he battles, depending on the enemy, he will either have a confident attitude or be angry.

Magic

This man's magic is very unique in many ways. His Crash magic, is one that can break apart anything he touches into many pieces or split something whole into many parts. He effectively uses this magic in many different spells and techniques.

#2-Why I ire Him?

I ire Gildarts for a few reasons. The first is just who he is overall as a person. I enjoy seeing him be like an uncle figure to Natsu during his childhood and still to this day. We all know know didn't have any parent figures in his life once Igneel left, so it was up to Gildarts to take over. He taught Natsu a few things about magic, he protected him, and always praised him. I ire Gildarts for doing this for Natsu, it was very kind of him.

Another thing I ire about him, is his continuous drive to protect the guild and what it stands for. Gildarts has kind of been on and off with his activities for the guild, but he was there for Tenrou, The Key To The Starry Sky, and even Alvarez. He has contributed so much to the guild and has put his life on the line many times too.

#3-What Makes Him Different?

Gildarts is a character that really stand out from the rest, ya know? Sure he can be pervy and a player with women, as shown a lot in the series. Sure he can irresponsible sometimes or clueless. But he does make up for it. He is different because of his unique personality, how he was one of the very few to survive while facing Acnologia, how he formed a bond with Natsu and even his own daughter. Gildarts always shows up when Fairy Tail needs him, so his for the guild is noted.

So there are 3 particular moments I find the most inspirational from Gildarts.

Learning The Truth About Cana

It was not until many years after Corneila left him, that he learned who his daughter was. Cana was in the guild for many years and yet, she didn't have a clue about Gildarts being her dad. But she eventually caught and learned of the truth. Once the S Class trails finished on Tenrou, she gained the courage to confront him about it. When she told him, he was dumbfounded and had a lost of words. He was so nervous, he randomly named off all the women he has been with, trying to guess who Cana was the daughter of. This angered her so she started to walk away, until he grabbed her and hugged her. Announcing that she is the daughter of Corneila. This began the bond for the two, and this proved how much Gildarts can care about someone, which takes courage to it.

The Meaning Behind His Fight With August

Not very many people can go head to head with Gildarts, let alone survive his attacks. However, August of the Spriggan 12 is an exception. He was able to actually counter Gildarts's Crash magic and withstood some of his other attacks! Gildarts was so confused and tried every attack possible, even Cana came in to help him, and because she did, she revealed August's weakness. When she used her Holder Type Card magic to attack August, he quickly evaded, where as when Gildarts attacked, he would counter it or or block it . It is revealed that his actual magic is copy magic, and he cannot copy Holder Type Magic like Cana's or Lucy's, so Gildarts takes this to his advantage and uses his Haja Kensei-Zetten, a pure physical move used with his prosthetic arm! This close quarters move is able to damage August and send him flying into debris, defeating him and claiming victory!

But during this fight, I noticed a few things.

When fighting August, because Cana was there to him, this made Gildarts feel uneasy. He had to not only worry about fighting this guy but also the safety of his daughter. When August threatens to attack Cana, Gildarts gets so mad, he has never gotten this mad before! Followed by his mighty speech he gave to his daughter while fighting, stating that he loves her and will always protect her. This fight strengthened the bond between the two significantly.   

Teaching Us About Fear

Finally the last lesson from Gildarts, is over coming fear. My favorite quote from him is “Fear is not evil. It tells you what you weakness is. And once you know your weakness, you can become stronger as well as kinder.” Truly inspiring words indeed. This quote has so much meaning and when you hear him say it, it makes you feel motivated to conquer any fears that you have! If you really think about it, fear is just something that limits our potential of doing something, so when we know what our weakness is from that particular fear, we quickly strike back and over come it!

#5- Meeting The Legend Himself ?!

Hmm, if I ever met Gildarts, I would like to be at a nearby pub, to talk with him and enjoy a meal with him! When he has a few drinks, his out going personality comes out so it would be nice to witness that. While ening a meal with him, I would ask him about all the missions he has done and which ones were the most fun or most difficult. I would of course ask him the full details of the 100 year quest. Maybe I would even ask if he could teach me basic magic or maybe some cool martial arts moves! Hai-Ya! :punch: 🏻
